Impressed with the quality/value of this brand
I love it! I am 5'4" and find the fit to be perfect. The pull is smooth and super quiet. Seat is comfortable, glides well, and is quiet. I can get up in the morning and put in my minutes and not bother anyone else in the house. The data is straight forward and helpful. It is easy to move around if you need to store it off to the side. Assembly was effortless if you just follow along with the video they supply. Took less than an hour to set up and start using. Currently I use level 4 resistance and will have enough additional resistance to build up to to reach my goal of strengthening my core. I am over 55 and not looking for an advanced machine. I am very impressed with the quality/cost value with Yosuda products. I just ordered their recumbent bike as well.

Surprising high quality, solid & effective!
I am new to rowing and didn’t want to spend $1,100 for a Concept gym-type unit for something that I might not enjoy. After researching all the brands on Amazon, big box stores and sporting equipment stores, I decided on this unit. It is solid enough to feel like professional quality but at a price point that is good for beginners. I found videos about it on YouTube, and am working my way up to using online rowing classes/apps. When I started using the machine , I was close to 300 lbs, so I wanted something sturdy, and this unit is solid and supports me without hesitation. Between it and my elliptical (and better eating habits), I’m down nearly 30 pounds, and it quickly reduces me to a puddle of sweat! You can feel it working your abs/core, back muscles, calves & quads, and shoulders for a full-body workout. Another thing I really like is that I have an arthritic knee and post-surgery for a torn meniscus, and this machine is low impact enough that it doesn’t hurt my knee…but just makes it (and everything else) tired after a good workout. I’m 5’10 with a 30” inseam and I have PLENTY of stride on this machine, but it doesn’t have a huge footprint or need much room to operate. The other reviews about how quiet the machine is are also true…it is almost silent when operating. The only thing I would like better is a fancier LCD/backlit monitor like my Horizon equipment…but honestly, this one tells me time, distance, count and calories burned, so it covers all the information one needs (is just a bit harder for me to read). If you are Chris Hemsworth or a WWE wrestler, you may need a gym-rated unit, but honestly, this one should fit the needs for the other 99.999% of us! I hope the review helps in making a purchase, and happy rowing!

Excellent low-end rower. Some quality control issues.
Style 02 Magnetic PRO I bought this machine eighteen months ago to replace a Sunny Health and Fittness that I was disenamoured of. I have used it an hour a day (three x 20-min sets) pretty much daily since then. I consider it a good value for money. It can be somewhat delicate, and there are definite quality control issues, but customer support is excellent. The seat mounts on a little truck that moves on nylon rollers. The rollers give a smooth ride, but are very sensitive to dust and debris. I have dry skin, and if I flake onto the bar, I can tell it immediately I start rowing -- it feels like a washboard road. So I keep a towel next to the machine and wipe down the bar before and after each session. I also found the first four feet of tape tends to rub against the frame if I'm not careful, and this leads to shredding of the tape body. Someday it will wear through. There were two major quality control issues. First, their paint department left a sharp, four-inch long ridge of paint along the top. This chewed up one of the soft nylon rollers, and made the ride extremely uncomfortable. I contacted the company through Amazon and they sent a replacement roller set right away. It was but the work of a day and a half to tear down the roller box and replace the rollers that had been damaged. I suppose I could have sent back the bar and gotten a new one, but I didn't want the hassle, so I trimmed the paint with a razor blade and buffed it more or less smooth. Second, one of the holes for the bolts that hold the foot rests was drilled about 15 degrees off from horizontal. It would still take a bolt, but it was canted compared to the others. This had limited impact on use of the footrest, and since the only possible fix would be to return the whole 32kg rig to China and wait for a replacement, I decided to live with it. The only drawback is that the bolt is stressed unnaturally and has a tendency to break after eight or nine months -- I'm on my second replacement. Note: The bolts are Metric Grade 8.8, a medium quality carbon steel. I'm going to try the tougher, and more expensive, 12.9 grade and see how that works out. Both bolts broke with about an inch sticking out of the hole. I used an $18 DeWill Broken Bolt Remover (from Amazon) and they came right out. Having listed my major issues with the rower, let me go on to minor ones. The seat is a little hard, and gets uncomfortable after a while -- the fact that I weigh just over 230lb may have something to do with it. I bought a 2K Fit Rowing Machine Seat Cushion (Model 2), originally for the Concept 2 rower. It straps onto the existing seat, and is much more comfortable. The data display seems to be the low-end industry standard. It's the same as that on the Sunny. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the higher end models, but it does give you the three basics: time (in minutes, rolling over at 100), strokes, and distance (in miles, not meters). It also gives you less helpful things like calories (useless, since it doesn't know how much I weigh or how old I am), and total strokes (of everyone who has used the machine, with no way to differentiate). As with the Sunny version, the labels on the frame don't match the actual order on the screen. Despite all of the above, I really like this rower. It sits out of the way against the family room wall, just in front of the TV. All I have to do is swing the end out, turn on a 26min anime episode, and I'm ready to row. It's quiet, and it has a good range of pull settings. In the last nine months I've put around 300,000 strokes on it, call it a thousand strokes per day. UPDATE: Amazon lumps both the magnetic and the water versions under this ID. Water version dimensions are quite different from the magnetic, and some of the information in the blurb is magnetic only. For example, the magnetic version DOES NOT work with the Kinomap bluetooth app, only the water version does. Be sure you are reading the right review.

Great Rowing Machine & Outstanding Customer Service
I spent quite a while researching and comparing rowing machines before deciding on this one, and overall I’m very happy with my purchase. The rowing machine itself works well, feels sturdy, and has become part of my regular workout routine. I especially like that it can be stored upright, which saves a lot of space. When my original machine arrived, there was a small damaged area on the casing that was disappointing to see. However, what truly impressed me was the seller’s customer service. They responded quickly, communicated professionally, and went above and beyond by arranging a brand new replacement. Problems can happen during shipping, but responsible and caring after-sales support makes all the difference. I really appreciate the effort and professionalism shown throughout the process. Overall, I’m satisfied with both the product and the customer service, and I would feel comfortable recommending this seller to others.

Not a boat if expecting similitude but still good
Start with assembly: good pictures and easily done by one person. Only one screw didn’t quite seat their driver but a little care got it in place. It’s very light and easy to move while taking up little space. Ours is standing between our stationary bike and treadmill. I lower it with one hand before using it. I’ve used it three times for around 30 minutes, “going” 2 miles, it tells me. Like it’s equipment companions, you get nowhere no matter how hard you try. I’ve never used a rowing machine, and have this one set at half the possible resistance, so there’s plenty of challenge room for my purposes. It is quiet, not soundless, but very acceptably quiet. The display is nice, changing automatically between time, distance, estimated calories, with a digital display that’s easy to read. I did download the suggested app, used it twice, then deleted it and opted for the display. If you’re a tracker type of person, the app is easy enough to use and does have a how-to row. That’s not hard, but if you’ve never used a machine like this it is probably a good idea. My iwatch keeps asking, are you doing a rowing machine workout? Oh, yeah, button push and that tracks, but you can see I forget about it. I’m a writer-downer. It’s a good workout. You can do curls or lats while pushing with your legs, sitting up to engage the core, I guess. I like it. It holds my average size person easily. If you’re very tall I don’t know if you’d fit. I’d ask the company first. Otherwise, for us, it was a good purchase we made to provide resistance specifically for our aging bones while it helps the cardio and some muscles in our bodies. If it falls apart after the next use this star rating will change, but I’m not expecting that. It feels solid. I am glad I bought it; a very good value for the price.

Good quality for the money.
I generally only read one or five star reviews. I'm giving the rowing machine a five as the quality seems very good, sometimes too good. I'm 6' 2", 215 pounds and it accommodates my size with no difficulty. It's quiet, but heavy--which may not be a bad thing. The company painted all the fasteners, even those with allen-type heads. The problem with the paint is that it coats the inside of the head, making it difficult to insert the supplied allen wrench, but as long as you have a variety of allen wrenches, you can find one that fits--not a big deal. The unit sits very low to the ground; that's fine for younger folks, but at 80 years old with two knee replacements, it sat far too close to the floor. The fix was simple: I had two plywood boxes that are four inches high. I sat the legs of the unit on top of the boxes, which of course, raised the unit, making it much easier to mount. The slide action was very smooth and quiet, and I was able to fully extend my legs with each pull. The range of the resistance seems more than adequate: the low ends is an easy pull; the high end is very difficult for me. I like the rowing machine over a stationary bike as you work your arms and legs, and I think it's a better workout. I'd buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

Great affordable rower
Howdy folks, the TL;DR of it is, I’m really glad I bought this rower. I got it on sale for $312. Gives a great cardio workout, doesn’t take up much space, is quiet, was decently easy to put together, not too hard to move around, and seems of nice enough quality. It’s not fancy like what you’ll use at a nice gym, and unfortunately it does NOT give you rowing strokes. I would have been upset about that, but I use an app where I’m watching someone row and I can keep pace with their strokes. I wish the bar was a few inches longer and slightly curved down. I’m of average fitness and have used it 5 times on resistance level 3. This gives me ability to grow to the highest resistance (8). I live in a very small space with another person and it tucks away into the corner in the upright position. Yes it’s still a bulky piece of workout equipment and is visible but I don’t care because it’s important to me to keep fit. One thing to note is that where the bar you sit on joins with the main body, it flexes down when I’m at the beginning of the stroke (so when my knees are fully bent). It seems okay and like it won’t break, but I’m going to keep my eye on it. In my opinion, as someone who is financially prudent, doesn’t go to a gym but relies on free activities or apps to stay fit, and who wanted a rower for years, this was worth my dollars. Rowing is fun, you should try it!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I honestly don’t leave reviews very often, but this one deserves it! The rower is well made, smooth, and is a great option for an at home workout equipment. What impressed me just as much was the customer service—they were incredibly responsive and truly cared about making sure I had a good experience. It’s refreshing to find a company that stands behind its product. Would definitely recommend buying from them!

Terrific and Inexpensive Rower
I did loads of research to find this rower. I looked at quite a few of the super expensive ones, but did not want to pay a monthly fee for the classes those other brands offer. Also, I am new to rowing so I didn't want to put a lot of money into this in case I didn't like it. I'm just under 5' and this is just a tiny bit too big for my legs to get to the completely perpendicular position at the start of the stroke, so I pulled out the pin that stops the seat, added a tiny bit of padding to the joint further up, and it works great now. (I'm making that point specifically for other shorties out there). It's quiet and easy to move and was very simple to put together. The screen isn't all that fancy, but it counts time and distance just fine (and some other things like calories, etc.) If you are interested in rowing, especially if you don't have a lot of space, this is a really good item. I've already recommended it, in person, to someone else.

not perfect, but pretty good
Got this yesterday and tried it today with the following thoughts. Pros: 1. great workmanship. the machine is pretty well built. can't say about the electronic parts as it's only been two days, but otherwise the machine is very solid. 2. very compact and lightweight. I live in apartment. so this is very important. 3. quiet. at the normal speed around 22-26 strokes, the foot pedal makes louder noise than the big wheel. 4. great app and hardware integration. I downloaded the app and pair it with my iphone and apple watch all together. now I can use watch as real time heartbeat sensor, iphone front camera as optical sensor and display everything on the phone screen. It's extremely help to see the data to make sure I can maintain target heart rate and good stroke speed during the entire workout. it would be perfect if the app can support watch with ipad, but that's not machine's issue. Cons: 1. installation. video only is outdated with the first set of screw installation being completely different from what's in the paper manual. Same goes for the parts and part numbers as they changed. In the manual, some minor mistakes on how the flat washer and spring washer should be stacked. one place said it correctly, then the others said it differently which was wrong. 2. not enough resistance. I am not a big strong guy(5'9", 158lbs), but I am starting all the way with 16 the max. It's good enough for cardio fat lost and endurance I believe, but not good enough for strength. 3. I bought the more expensive 02-magnetic pro version, but at the front of the wheel, it's missing a pad at the front which gives it two options to store the machine. With the pad, I can store the machine upright without having to folder it which actually uses less space than folding it. The cheaper 01-magnetic rower does have that.

Great rowing machine at a great price...and super quiet!
Great value and overall good quality. There was only one small part which I had an issue with but the seller was very responsive and shipped the small part to me very quickly which resolved my issue. This is a really nice rowing machine and it's very very quiet. The tension levels are just right and the build quality is very solid. It's heavy enough that when in use it won't slide around (plus it has nice rubber pads to prevent that), but if you need to move it, it's very easy to put it away for storage. Overall very happy with my purchase!
