Not copper and it’s 20awg not 18awg
The wire is not copper, it’s more of a tin/aluminum based material. My picture is reference of an actual 18awg wire compared to the black spool of 18awg I received that’s more like 20awg.The casing is brittle and stiff as if it’s made of cheap plastic but should be fine for some applications. My intent was to use this for a PSU’s power lead but I won’t trust this product in a component as such for more reasons than stated here.

Good wire, can't complain but...
18ga 300V wire, white, Dec. 2021. This is good wire and pretty much as described. It's marked every foot with full specs. What I received is marked UL1061 which is pretty much the same spec as UL1007 but has a slightly thinner insulation, which is fine with me. It's still 300V, 80°C, tinned copper wire. By the way it's 16 strand, 30ga (0.010") wire and the OD is about 0.068". It is also marked as ROHS compliant which means it should be lead free. There is no country of origin or manufacturer shown although it may be possible to find from the markings.

NOT 18awg
20ga AWM 1569 is what I received, not 18ga!!Tinned copper wire strands, not 100% copper as description implies.

Works great for crafting too!
I purchased to use in my crafting ends up being a bit less expensive. Easily stripped down to bare wire strands.

Not as described.
Not 18G. More like 20 or 22 gauge. Ended up tossing it in the trash.

Decent wire.
Came as expected, tinned copper strands, not 100% copper as description implies.AWM 1061 for anyone looking for real meaningful wire specs.

Not 18 Gauge
I needed specifically 18 gauge, this is 20 gauge wire. This batch needs to be gone through and re done because it is wrong. The correct gauge is the white wire
