My locs were about 5 months old when I started using the spray. I have extremely thick caucasian hair for reference. After washing, and initial microfober towel drying, I'd spray all over and when dry they were noticeably softer. About 3 days after washing (I wash every 6-7 days) I'd use on my scalp. Anytime I wanted a refresh, or was headed out, I'd lightly spray all over and finger comb because the rose/peppermint smells so ridiculously good!
