BERG SMART WIFI ELECTRIC GLASS PANEL HEATER 2000W / 2KW Radiator Wall Mountable compatible with ALEXA/GOOGLE ASSISTANT (Black Edition)

OK so this may not be the cheapest heater ever but this thing is drop dead gorgeous to look at, it could win design awards. But what really matters is that it's a great heater. We actually got it to warm a shed where a local stray cat appears to have decided to move in (and sadly he can't mix with cats already in the house) so we got this for the cold autumn and winter nights. Absolutely key to this is the ability to control it remotely. Either the Tuya app or Alexa are perfect for this. We can ask Alexa to report back the ambient temperature (the heater contains a sensor that can report this) or we can just set the heater to a target temperature and it will maintain this. We also use Switchbot separate temperature sensor and hub and that can not only be used to verify the heater's own reading but it also shows a log over time so we can tell if the heater is holding the temperature that has been set (which it does VERY well!).Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this. The fact you can floor mount it with supplied feet or wall mount it, it looks amazing, it's easy to use, the remote Tuya control from phone takes it to the next level then the Alexa control of that to a level above.My only minor gripe (and it is very minor) is that trying to screw the feet on (8 screws in all) was "challenging". You have to get the angle exactly right and it pays to screw the screws in separately first to clear the enamel black paint from the screw holes before trying to screw things again through the fiddly holes in the feet. But just buy this, you won't regret it!

The down side first! So the husband and I spent about 3 hours trying to connect this heater to wi-fi as it has to be a lower frequency to connect. Very helpful BT man talked me through this in their customer service. No matter how hard we tried we couldn't get it to work. Eventually daughter who was working from home took pity on me and fixed it in 10 mins!! From then on it was easy to connect to Alexa and is now controlled by voice command. This heater is aesthetically pleasing and bangs out the heat. I have been monitoring my electric meter very carefully these last few days and can honestly say that this kicks out more heat than the Quantum dimplex electric storage heaters that I unfortunately have fitted. (Thanks for nothing Orbit!) I am so pleased with this heater that I have ordered another one for upstairs. If you happen to have a tech savvy relative or friend then I would definitely recommend this heater. I would add that in my opinion the instructions that come with it are poor. It shows a yellow light and in actual fact the light is blue! You learn more reading the reviews on here to be honest!

If you have any "smart" devices at home you may be familiar with the problem of initial set up. This heater is no different. It recommends using Tuya Smart for the app but I had no luck using that. Then I remembered that the Smart Home app replaced Tuya Smart so I tried that. Took a couple of tries but worked fine then Alexa recognised it immediately. Just shout "Alexa, switch on heater at 20 degrees" and it does it.Heats fairly quickly but possibly reads a degree or two low but I'm still getting used to it and with the warmer autumn I've not used it in earnest. I will buy another soon for the bedroom.

Bought two of these to supplement night storage heaters and they are truly amazing.They keep my flat warm all day and are really versatile and cheap to run. The app is easy to use and set up. They can be started remotely and you can set automated end timers, or simply set the heater schedule. I've wall mounted mine and they look great. I'll be buying more for a another property which relies on electric heating - a five star buy!

Bought my first 1 in 2021, and broke down before having 1 years old. And was used for like 3-4 months, only while being home, so not continous usage(avg 6h per day). After this broke down, I ordered another one, and guess what?! Just broke down, even less usage than the first one.The only good thing about it, it just breaks down, without catching fire, as it happened with another model.And it does provide decent heat.But paying 2 times, even 3 times more than the competition, I can categorise this as junk.I do not recommend!

I bought this to keep a large and mostly unused room aired. The controls are great, I have it set to come on during the night at lower cost and then use the app to put it on for an extra hour now and again, it's very easy to use. It gives out plenty of heat and displays the room temperature. It looks smart too. The set up wasn't straight forward as I had to change my Internet settings.

Works absolutely fine, even on low power can warm a room up noticeably in about 10 minutes
