Most umbrellas usually last longer than that, and I wouldn't say that I used it more than any other umbrella that I've owned. It's a shame. I enjoyed the design, in that it helped to keep water from getting everywhere when I'd come in from the rain, or when I'd put the umbrella in the back of my car.
