YUM! It's grrrrrrrreat!
I wouldn't hesitate to get it for your cat. My latest rescue kitty Hattie loves it . Her "waste" isn't as stinky either as it was on the Hill's Prescription I/D. She's flourishing on this. NO hesitation in recommending this food. I brought it along to Hattie's vet visit the other day and the vet looked at it and said it looked like an excellent food. My three cats love it. (I also mix it with Halo's grain-free dry food to make it stretch a bit longer - more economical). My black kitty, Luna, likes it as well. Since I've been feeding her this, her coat is absolutely luxurious (I also supplement with Anitra's Vita Mineral Mix). She's just plush. A gorgeous and healthy cat starts with what you put into her/him.

Very bad product does not even smell like food let alone ...
Very bad product does not even smell like food let alone chicken and certainly it is not shredded, it is like paste. I will not be buying Halo products again,

Accepted by three fussy kitties
It's not the most popular food I've ever given my kitties (that honor goes to Tikicat's Mackerel blend), all three of our furbabies enjoy it, including one notoriously picky eater who now wakes me up for her breakfast. The consistency is a little on the mushy side, which has bothered them with other foods but less so here. It has a pleasant, canned chicken smell. My real like for this brand is the lack of cheap grain fillers, although there are chickpeas and other bits of fruit, which are actually desirable and more in keeping with a natural wild diet. I'd be happier if this included some organ meats, esp. liver. All in all, a solid product.

Changed formula now no one will eat it and it looks bad to boot.
Been using this brand for about 1 year. It was ok and the cats generally liked it. Did not like that they included whole garbanzo beans which cats don't digest and they wouldn't eat them anyway. There would be an empty bowl with whole garbanzo beans. Now they went and changed the formula and none of our 19 cats will eat it so that tells you everything you need to know, it looks like dark brown dry paste. So had to do the search for something new dance and found Nutro grain free and it's a hit with everyone (a little too big of a hit since they are getting fatter). They only sell the small 3.5 oz cans which actually works out for us. A bit more expensive but way less waste. They don't have all the flavors on amazon so I get it from Petco.

Not really shredded
I was looking for shredded chicken and this isn't it. This is a pate-style cat food. I'm sure it is quality cat food, but not shredded.

Perfect food for extremely food sensitive cats!
This cat food is excellent for my cats. My one cat is extremely sensitive to a lot of food. So I have to get him very high quality food. And Halo brand hits the mark. My cats are so picky that they don't like the pate' but this flavor is a hit.

Yuck!
We have four cats and not one of them will touch it. Not even the hungry strays will eat it so I'm throwing the rest of the case away.

Love at first bite
Ever since Blue changed their recipe for their Shredded Chicken, I haven't been able to find a replacement that our cat loves. Finally, this is it! I would prefer no carageenen, but even most healthy choices seem to have it now.Update March 2017: This is now a stiff pate consistency ... no longer shredded and no gravy. Though hesitant at first, our cat is still eating it, but I am reducing from 5 to 4 stars. Meanwhile, I'll start snooping around for a healthy replacement that's actually shredded with gravy.
