But since it's just me and my husband - IT'S PERFECT! Spaghetti, Kraft size Mac & Chez, Ramen, ravioli, tortellini - but also, green beans, corn, broccoli, carrots - anything you'd like to cook in juices, then strain. Such a great size for 2 people when pasta is the main dish, and any # of people for a side dish! I LOVE the small drainage cutout on the side, and the lid has holes where you can line these up, and strain without having to dirty another dish. I even bought another oven mit, as I thought the handle would be hot, or the steam would burn my hand - but it's NOT needed. I don't know how it works (probably magic) but it doesn't burn my bare hand. Very EZ to clean since it's stainless steel! Can use metal, such as a fork, inside, no problem! The HANDLE is brilliant! Saves so much space compared to the pots where it sticks straight out to the side. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
