My only complaint is the chalk isn't great and the bottom part where the paper goes through doesn't really hold it well so the paper can move around a lot. It'd be nice if it held it in place. Definitely buy it for a 5 year old.👍 **Q: What are the dimensions of the chalkboard?** A: The chalkboard on the back is the same size as the dry erase board on the other side…….about 18x24……you’ll need to wash it every time it’s used because it’s not the best quality chalkboard, the board tips over and folds up on itself easily, so I wouldn’t buy it again…… BUT…… magnets on the other hand work very well on the dry erase board, so that’s how we use it with our 3 year old Grandson.
