This is a good machine and stops automatically and is good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid all round shredder *by H***P on 25 July 2024* Overall, decent shredder for a decent price. Way superior in terms of speed and number of sheets to my 20 year old Rexel, which eventually gave up the ghost. It's fast, it shreds a lot of sheets at the same time , probably 6-8 of variable thicknesses. Noise is what you might expect, it doesn't run long enough to be an issue. See through panel on bin is not that see through. Had issue with first one where the reverse switch was intermittent. Amazon sent a replacement, no quibbles. As with any shredder of my experience, you have to make sure the bin isn't so full that the shreddings "back up" into the cutting heads. One quibble is that if you do a lot of receipt shredding the paper is so flimsy you will get a build up inside the slot above the cutters of compressed paper. ( I think it's just the very thin paper that causes this). At which point you can't shred as no access to the cutters. My solution was, after unplugging, to pick out with a long thin implement. I had to also drench the paper with shredder oil a few times. Worked it all out in the end. But I now only shred a couple of receipts at a time and mix them with standard sheets of paper.
