Made a world of a difference for our Rhodesian ridgebacks and their tummy. It is a little watery, but I don’t mind that for an organic product. I wish there was larger cans.

Feed to my cat daily!
Roughly 1.5 years ago, my 15 year-old cat began having some noticeable health issues. Although I'm sure his health issues stemmed from stress related issues (he lost 2 of his companions in a 9 month time frame), we also discovered a skin cancer that was immediately removed. With all of these stressors on his system, it was no wonder he was having some bowel distress (loose stools), throwing up, as well as a flaky skin condition. I went in to a local pet chain to find some grain free food recommended by the vet (to help with the flaky skin). While I was in the cat food aisle, I was approached by one of the workers, who inquired about my situation, what I was looking for, etc. I explained my cats dilemma, and she asked me if I'd ever fed pumpkin to my cat. I was taken aback. "Aren't cat's carnivores? Why would I feed pumpkin to my cat?" The service rep told me that she'd been feeding her cat fresh pumpkin every day for most of her cats life. It helps with digestion, as well as skin irritation. She suggested I try that for my cat. I went to a neighborhood health store where they had an organic pumpkin to purchase that was for cats and dogs. I was skeptical. "It's just pumpkin. Nothing special. It probably won't work," I told myself. After a couple of weeks of fine tuning the amount I gave my cat, his bowel movements improved, he wasn't getting sick all over the place, and his skin was less flaky *[NOTE: My cat took a good 2 weeks to adjust to this being added to his diet. He still got sick. Make sure you have a good stain remover if you have carpeted floors. Pumpkin is great at staining carpet]. I used the Nummy Tum Tum Brand Pumpkin For Pets. I've been using it steadily ever since. Only once did the store not have this exact brand, and my cat didn't do as well as he had with Nummy Tum Tum. *[NOTE: Suggestion: Due to the expiration of this product, even while kept in the refrigerator, I'd like to take this opportunity to help you maintain freshness of the product longer. Since this is only good for up to 7 days after the can is opened, might I suggest you measure out small amounts, enough for one week at a time, and freeze other weekly portions. I feed my cat (15 pound cat) 1 tsp mixed with his specialty food in the evening. I measure out approximately 7 teaspoons per container, put one container in the refrigerator, the other containers with the weekly measured food in the freezer. I only retrieve a container from the freezer when I'm getting down to the last 2 days of the pumpkin currently in the fridge. This way, the opened can lasts a lot longer. Yes, one can for one cat lasts a good long while. But, it's worth it to keep his gut issues in check.] I'm very happy with the results this has given me for my aging cat. I've recommended this product to friends who may have cats who might be exhibiting similar symptoms. Best of luck to you and your pet if you give this product a try! PS-the only reason I went with a case was due to the COVID-19 issue, I can't go to the store I usually purchase this from.

Great!
We really do enjoy the texture of this pumpkin. We have tried other brands but this brand seems to have a fluffy texture. Everyone including the animals have given this brand of pumpkin a satisfying response. The pumpkin is such a healthy food for all there stomachs!

No signs of GI issues
I have a senior cat that has been having GI issues off and on for a few weeks now (V-word, not D-word), and I was hoping this might help to settle his stomach. Since I actually have two cats, and they eat breakfast side by side, I’m giving this supplement to both of them, mixing it in with their breakfast. It’s hard to tell how much of the pumpkin each of them gets, but I do watch for a minute when I first put the food down, and they both chow down, so they don’t seem to dislike the addition of pumpkin. I haven’t seen any GI eruptions in a week now, so this seems to be helping, and I’ll keep using it.I purchased a 12-pack of cans, not realizing that the pumpkin needs to be frozen if not used in three days after opening a can. When you consider that you’re only giving your pet 1 tablespoon a day, it’s going to take several days to get through one can. You have to go through the trouble of transferring the pumpkin to an airtight container and freezing it – then thawing it later. It’s a bit of trouble. So assuming this continues to control my cat’s GI issues, I will probably look for more convenient packaging.

No More Poo
I tried everything and every type of supplement to keep my German Shepherd out of the habit of eating feces (gross but true). I spent hundreds if not more on so called "fail proof" additives that didn't work. So, I decided on this product based on another review about pumpkin for dogs. It's an easy method. Dogs LOVE the taste of pumpkin with their food BUT hate the pumpkin taste once it turns into waste. So far, 6 months later and zero interest in poo. I just couldn't stand it! YEA! It works! And it's so inexpensive compared to a $30 jar of supplements that do NOT work. I could just buy plain cans of pumpkin for much less, but it has supplements as well as being organic. Thank you so much for this problem solved!
