It looked so promising, but after finishing the design exactly as the instructions said we found out the water became blue. We used the blue clay and it colored the water completely.It was very disappointing for my daughter and it is not a snow ball you can use.

My daughter has loved using the included clay to make scenes for the snow globes. Unfortunately, despite using the clear sealer included in the packaging, both globes she's put together so far have not turned out great - the clay (dried for 24+ hours) leaks or something and caused the water to turn a deep color (one orange, one blue). We had to throw out the contents and will try again.Great for the experience of it, but we have yet to have a usable, keepable snow globe. :(I'm overseeing the sealing process this time to make sure it's not user error.... Will update if the next two tries pan out.

The experience is really what matters most with this product. These were fun for my 4 year old and I to put together, although all the waiting was truly impossible for her (24 hours for clay to dry plus 3 applications of varnish).But.This is what they look like 3 weeks later. The glitter stains the water immediately, particularly the pink glitter. It takes a bit of time but the water eventually seeps between the lacquer and the base and discolor/clouds the water.Also build the clay up way higher than you think you should. Otherwise you can't even see your little clay and plastic creations insideOverall, not worth $30.

The idea is cute. The directions don’t emphasize building up the base high enough to see the design when it is finished. You need to apply multiple layers of the sealing varnish and even after doing that exactly as described within 24 hours the water turns to the color of clay inside making it impossible to see inside the water globe anymore. Complete waste of time & money.

My kids were very excited to make their own snow globes. Directions are easy to follow. Cute objects to put inside. After one day, the water in the globe turned whatever clay was used. You can no longer see what is inside. Very disappointing.

Like others, our water turned color. I missed the part about varnishing 3xs on the yellow one, but did do it for the purple one. The kids had fun doing them, but for the final 2 globes we may try gorilla glue instead of messing with the foam, and just keep the foam as a playtime craft.

Don't waste your money. Figurines are too big to fit properly inside the globes and the "clay" which is more like a spongy foam, sloughs off and turns the water milky.
