It's easy to install. And yes like other comments before it might have a minor gap or problems that need to be adjusted yourself. Does need a little bit more paint on the small areas. Also screws are weak recommend using your originals to prevent stripping and tools are okay not strong materials may wear out after couple adjustments especially if you keep moding your system. Recommend cleaning mother board with alcohol before putting it together to prevent issues. Overall loved it didn't need to cut out anything perfect for backlit mods.

I have to say, I was mainly buying this shell because the pretrimmed v5 Hispeedido shell would close on its own for some reason (a few posts were too high and I fixed the issue). I have also bought GBA SP shells/buttons and NDSL shells from Extremerate and have been incredibly satisfied. These shells like their GBA SP and NDSL counterparts fit together REALLY well. In fact, I would say I prefer these shells over the OEM ones as they just feel better in terms of quality. In terms of the buttons and the overall functionality of the shell, it works great. You will need to give it a little bit of time for the membranes to really wear in as they're a tad stiff when they're brand new.Onto the thing that many might be wondering. How much do you need to trim this for a laminated v5 screen? A good amount. I've done 3 builds with these shells with these screens but if you need to know what to do you may want to look on YouTube how to trim an OEM shell for a laminated screen. The process is fairly similar. Basically you trim the window out on all sides a bit and then sand down the right hand side (from the inside POV).Overall, I would highly recommend these shells to anyone. If you can't trim the shell, don't get the laminated kit, just get the one that's nonlaminated and you'll do just fine.

I have blisters on my first finger and thumb from screwing the case together. It is painfully difficult with the included tri-wing screwdriver considering the holes are not pre-tapped. You have to tap the hole with the screw while trying not to round the head of the screw. I would have gladly paid a few dollars more for a slightly better tri-wing driver. I recommend getting a better tri-wing before attempting this shell swap.Otherwise, everything fit together nicely and it looks very nice. All of the buttons look nice and work properly and the new screen lens looks phenomenal.I have not yet swapped out for an IPS V2, but will be doing that mod soon. The included lens looks like it will work as there is a noticable gap at the bottom and right side of the lens where the OEM screen is too small to completely fill the lens. I will include a picture to show what I mean.

The shell is honestly extremely beautiful and for the price it's not heavy on the wallet either. The plastic feels a bit cheaper than the regular GBA shell but it still gets the job done. I used the Hispeedido V2 IPS screen with this and it fits like a glove though there is some light bleeding on the screen whether it's because of the shell or the screen itself I'm not sure.

This is the definition of ease. The case works perfectly with original GBA hardware, and no cutting or shaping is necessary I paired this case with their matching eXtremeRate buttons replacement for a clean single color design and I love it. The case doesn't feel like a cheap replacement case, it feels quite nice.This particular case has a glossy smooth finish, which tends to show fingerprints a bit easier, but I personally don't find it a problem because a quick wipe down with a dry cloth, it's ready to be put back on the display shelf with no fingerprints to be seen!Features that I enjoy on this is:The battery holder. For more context, I've replaced so many gba shells where the battery cover is just loose, where they can fall out or just rattle around, BUT THIS ONE IS PERFECT! It's a tight fit and stays in the battery slot perfectly.I also like that this case comes with a blue metal plate for the GBA game slot. It's not a huge deal, but it allows the piece blend in a lot better over a plain silver plate that can just stick out like a sore thumb!Lastly I enjoy how the screen it ships with does not say anything other then Game Boy Advance. I have seen many companies say something different on the screen, like their company name or just random things. This one keeps to the original and it's very appreciated!Overall it's a 10/10 in my book. I have and will continue to reccomend it to friends, and people who repair Game Boy Advances'!

Used this for a replacement shell while also upgrading to an IPS display. I really like the look, and the shell is strong.

I was wary about this kit given the reviews and I can honestly say you need not worry.The jank looking face buttons? Gone.Shell overhang? Non existent.Front lens? Tempered glass baby!The power switch bump problem?...well-- you might still get that but... mine was just fine! I got one in the dark gray and one in the OEM white?...light gray?...whatever color. I did however order two of their button sets in the scarlet red and the power switch lacked the bump. Sent back right away.The color shift effect is really nice too. Lots of value for 22 bucks.The main things I will knock here are that the screw holes aren't pre threaded, and the shoulder buttons lack that responsive bounce back that the OEM ones have. I also don't care for the EXT. port cover. It's hard to get it off once it's in. Make sure you hold the shell together firmly while adding screws or you will get overhang or break a post!Bring back the scarlet red shell!Thank you for your attention. That is all.

Nice quality, scratches easily though

Esta carcasa fue mi primera opcion, pues hice un trabajo de restauración de un GBA que estaba en muy mala condición, le faltaba la tapa de las pilas, la del cable link, ademas de que la pantalla estaba rayada y no funcionaba el audio. Tambien cambie la pantalla por una IPS, la cual compre en otra tienda la cual incluia una carcasa, aunque no de mala calidad, los plasticos estaban algo duros.Estoy muy contento con el resultado, los botones son suaves y el plastico tienen un acabado gloss o satinado que lo hace muy agradable, el acabado en azul metalico ni se diga.NOTA A QUIEN COMPRE ESTA CARCASA: en mi caso compre un KIT IPS V5 de HISPEEDIDO, el cual es una pantalla laminada, por lo que si desean hacer la instalación de dicho kit en esta carcasa se tendra que recortar el marco interior y rebajar uno de los lados para poder instalar la pantalla correctamente.

Vis fragile mais conforme à la commande

J'avais pris cette coque pour aller avec un écran IPS et faire une cure de jouvence pour une GBA, malheureusement, après réception de l'écran Highpseedido IPS v5, celui-ci ne rentre absolument pas dans la coque, et l'ouverture de la coque n'étant pas alignée avec l'emplacement du PCB derrière l'écran, je ne sais pas comment le limer correctement.La coque reste de qualité, mais il aurait été bien à ce tarif qu'ils prévoient les écrans IPS prémontés (c'est quand même l'usage le plus repandu pour les changements de coque).Je vais devoir commander une autre coque adaptée...MAJ : la coque a un autre défaut ! Si les linkers passent sans problème, le compartiment des cartouches est trop just et on est obligé de forcer pour que ça rentre (et ça lime littéralement à la fois les cartouches et la coque). Je me vois obligé de retirer une autre étoile.

The media could not be loaded. Auf den Fotos siehst du meinen Alten Advance mit der alten und schmutzigen Hülle. Mit der neuen Hülle sieht er sehr viel hübscher aus, finde ich. Alle Knöpfe und Teile haben gepasst und ich bin sehr zufrieden damit.Ja, man kann sehen, dass der Rohling der Hülle vorher weiß war und der Teil nur lackiert ist, den man sehen kann. Aber das macht mir nichts aus.Dass der rosa Lack matt ist, hat den Nachteil, dass du schneller "Fettfinger" drauf hast. 😅Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.Ob die Hülle aber auch zum IPS-Display passt, muss ich erst noch testen.
