Meat Hanger Duck Call

Call sounds great and is easy to blow.... maybe I just got the lemon but this thing sticks BAD!!!! I have heard of people dunking these things in water pouring them out and blowing them but my experience is completely different. I noticed it sticking while practicing in my truck to and from work. If you take it apart and clean it it will blow fine for a while then start to stick again. Yesterday was opening day in Washington so i cleaned it the night before and to my disappointment the call only worked for about 30 minutes opening day before it started to stick again and was useless. I spent the rest of the day using a cheap single reed. I haven't heard other complaints about it so like i said maybe its just a lemon but when you pay 130 dollars for a call you expect it to work my than 30 minutes before it is rendered completely useless. I will contact echo calls and see if they will either replace the call or refund the money and update my review with the response.

Quick shipping. A good sounding call with good range. It sticks more than some other twin reed calls. My beef is that the insert fell out of the barrel before I even used it the first time while putting out decoys. Apparently this is a known problem as there is a warning on the package to put a lanyard around both the barrel and insert- which was pointed out after mine was lost. Maybe this is just an old guy's sour grapes but I've used all sorts of wood and acrylic calls from Olt, Haydel, Jensen, Chick Major, etc over the last fifty years and have never lost an insert that just fell out. I was ready to write it off when wife called Echo. For $70 they sent another insert so I now have well north of $200 into a call that should cost half that.

I originally ordered the Meat Hanger, but was sent the DRT by mistake. After a generous discount I decided to keep the DRT (mostly because the next day was opening day). I love this call, I use it over the others on my lanyard (RNT, duck commander, etc.)due to the range and the control I have with it. It is a great call, especially for being a double reed.

Great Echo call and is perfect for beginners and pros. Natural sounds that brings in the limit every time!

Got a smoking deal on this call through Amazon. It is by far my best sounding call. I use it in the woods and in the fields.
