I ordered the green agar plates for a science project cleaning comparison. They arrived in half of the time promised, five days total. Everything was well packaged, no broken plates, or contaminated agar. I followed the instructions and refrigerated the plates until use, then kept them at 70-80 degrees after swabbing. We had bacteria growth within 24 hours on the swabs before cleaning and zero growth on the after cleaning plates, see pictures. I didn't think that 10 seconds of Lysol would actually work this well!

We ordered these for a Stem fair. We received them and some had stuff already growing, we reached out and they replaced the product with no issues. Had a lot of growth after our swabs as well, so these Petri dishes are definitely a good product to use. The instructions were very simple to understand and you didn't have to do much to get the results.

I was super concerned I would get dishes that are already growing bacteria, but I didn't. They were all fine. I have a spinal injury and can't prepare agar myself very well, if at all, so these are a good alternative. I will be buying again if I need more. The kit came with a card that explained why some might be contaminated. I do think they should explain in the description that that can happen and why it does. That way people don't buy it when they have a time crunch and need all 10 to be clean. I gave 4 stars because I didn't see that explanation in the description.

This set worked so well, very easy to use, just use the sterile swabs provided and you will grow impressive samples. We swabed the backyard soil, floors, bottom of shoes, sink, toilet seat, fingers and toes and an unwashed apple. The kids were really impressed by the amount of microorganisms grown from an invisible stuff on the swabs. We also bought a microscope and were able to actually see all of the different types of microbes and fungi that grew on these dishes. My kids are 6.5 years old, they are now much more conscious about washing hands, good hygiene and washing food.

In the beginning of May I received 10 plates, 3 had a real tiny amount of agar, 2 had a contamination ( growth at room temperature after 2 days, without opening packet). Customers service contact me on May 16 with a proposal to send 10 new ones, which I accepted. We are now May 31 and still nothing. DO NOT BUY HERE.

The agar plates were shipped with care and the packaging held up well. Some of the plates I received in one box were contaminated, so I contacted the customer service email on the product. They responded immediately and informed me that they would be sending me replacement plates. Margaret provided great customer service and was very quick with her responses to my emails. I will be purchasing from Evviva Sciences again in the future because of this great customer service experience!

Anytime a gift giving opportunity arises, my grandson requests these petri dishes. From the culture, to growing bacteria and being able to look at it under the microscope, is a great learning experience for him. He loves to learn and discover new things and the Evviva Sciences Nutrient Agar Petri Dishes is an age appropriate resource that fosters learning plus it's safe to use. I highly recommend this product.

Followed the instructions, swabbed some really gross stuff, and two failed to grow anything. They should all have grown something. The swabs for the two failed plates were from some very dirty and gross sources

Arrived in perfect condition, barely any condensation even in winter, product is as described.

Half the plates arrived with black mold growing.

Worked well for daughters science project . Was able to grow bacteria in the agar as per the experiment. Nice they come with agar already in the dish with the cover.

I'm very disappointed. I'd read reviews that they arrived contaminated but I thought I'd play the percentages and it would be okay. Two of ten were like this.
