I first bought a bag of this ginger at Costco..and now they don't carry it. This ginger is incredible. I've never tasted ginger like this - it's the perfect blend of hot, spicy and sweet. My husband, who does not like to taste ginger in his food, will go back for seconds when my chicken fried rice includes this. I also put it in my hot Chai tea, let the pieces sit there while I drink it, and enjoy the tea-infused slices after I drink the tea - they're quite a treat. It has kept very well for months just sitting on my counter in it's self-sealing bag. I was thrilled to find this on amazon. I notice there is only a small inventory left - I sure hope amazon continues to carry it. No matter where I buy fresh ginger - from Whole Foods to Trader Joe's to local asian markets - it never comes close to this flavor. I strongly recommend it.

I've tried many dried ginger slice options, and while there are some really good ones out there, hands down this is theBEST dried ginger I've ever had! The ginger slices in many other brands are like old shoe leather!. As some other reviewers said, the preparation of these slices reminds me of dried mango slices, with a slightly tender consistency when you bite into it because the slices tend to be a bit thicker than most. Also, like mango slices, the ginger in this brand is NOT crystallized, in other words, they're not covered in a layer of unnecessary granulated suger particles, like every other brand available. I love ginger but got tired of the sticky sugar particle mess, so I started researching and stumbled on Paradise Green. This ginger also has that strong ginger "kick" that ginger lovers like me adore!

It has a nice taste , but because the sugar content overwhelmed the aroma of the ginger and it's real ginger taste. Diabetics will not be able to it. Why not produce another one with less(minimum) sugar, so that everybody will have a choice.

These are good for the money as lower cost than some brands; and they are sweet, warm snack pieces that one must chew. They have 24g sugar in 6 pieces however even though they are uncrystalized. Snacking on fewer pieces is a good idea to reduce sugar in your diet or dicing fewer pieces fine to put in oatmeal.

This product produces delicious ginger tea. I take it iced or warm. The recipe I have calls for honey and lime juice, but using this naturally sweet product eliminates the need for additional sweeteners or taste enhancers. I boil about 8 oz of the product (1/3 of the bag) for about 1.5 hours on low heat, and it produces about 1.5 gallons of tea which keeps nicely in the refrigerator. I usually make the tea about every ten days. What a welcome, tasty relief from artificially sweetened teas and pop, especially in the heat of summer in GA.

One of our kids tells us he has stomach aches a lot, especially on car rides. We bought him some of these, which he calls his ginger chews. Every time we have a stomach ache issue, in the car or otherwise, I tell him to try a ginger chew before medicine. 99% of the time he tells me he feels much better afterwards. Great stuff!

Though I like the flavor of the ginger, there is too much sugar coating. I've bought other ginger where the flavor is just as good, but there's less sugar. With this brand, I end up scraping off some of the sugar into the sink before eating a piece. Otherwise, it's good.

First tried these when I got a bag from a big box store in Colorado. But then I couldn't find them when I returned home to Illinois. Amazon came to the rescue and allowed me to continuing enjoy these delectable (but not too sweet and sugary) treats. Do these things prevent cancer? Make me smarter? I'm not sure, but they make me feel like a pampered prince in a faraway land of enchanted fairies. Join me and together we will relax in that paradise of men and gods.
