DO THIS FIRST (before assembling)
The 4 narrow pieces that go on the bottom and sides are not the same width. Put the edges on a flat surface as in the photo. The two bottom rails are slightly narrower than the two side rails, by approximately a quarter of an inch. The holes will only line up properly with the end pieces if you have the slightly narrower rails on the bottom, and the slightly wider rails on the sides.Would it have been better to include instructions making these differences clear? Yes.Would it have been better to make all four rails the same size? Yes.But then again, it's only six pieces of wood. Take a little time to line things up before beginning to assemble and you won't end up splitting the pieces because "the holes don't line up". These crates are sturdy and look very nice when assembled properly.

Excellent record holder
I can unreservedly give this record crate 5 stars. It's light but strong and and very attractive. I was put off by so many crates having needless designs on them. This one has none and has a very clean look- like Scandinavian furniture. It came withno instructions but was intuitively easy to put together. It took me about 10 min with a Phillips screwdriver. I am definitely buying another one!

Nice quality wood, needs better engineering
The wood is very nice quality, but I returned mine as the screw holes did not align well in several sections

Very Nice
This item is very nice in appearance and quality.No, there are no instructions included. But if you know which end of the screw driver to hold, you won't need any. The slats can only go in the proper place due to spacing of the screw holes.

Great looking product. Sturdy. Easy assembly. Only negative feedback would be that it should come with assembly instructions and marked pieces. The screw hole alignment on the side pieces are slightly different than the bottom pieces. Just be sure to line up the screw holes on the front and back pieces with the pieces to ensure you are using the right pieces for the sides and the bottom.

Great Crate!
I have invested in several of these crates. Each has arrived in perfect condition. They are easy to assemble; importantly, they accommodate most box sets AND albums in protective sleeves. Some other manufacturers should take note. The crate may be used either as shown in the photos or stacked by rotating forward through ninety degrees. Go on…treat your vinyl.
