The media could not be loaded.  We like the ceramic type of mortar and pestle, unfortunately They are easy to break if you drop them which is what happened to the last one. We mainly use this for crushing pills which my wife has trouble swallowing whole. This seems to work well and despite the semi glazed working surfaces its easy enough to clean. Pills etc are gripped well which this set is in use.

It’s a great little set for crushing pills. Used for crushing pet medication and I have to say it does the job perfectly. The reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is due to the matte texture on the inside of the mortar. I think it’s supposed to help with grinding but I find the fine powder ends up sticking more to the insides and that I would have preferred a smoother bowl that would have made it easier to simply tip out the contents.

I bought the 4.6 one in green.It's perfect when I just need to grind small amounts of freshly roasted whole spices.There is 2 TSP of cumin, coriander, fennel in the bowl on the photo.Grinds really well because of the rough inside walls of the bowl.Cleans easy enough.Also handy for small amounts of fresh coriander leaves mixed with mint leaves for a dressing.I love it.I do a lots of Indian & Mexican cooking so very handy for me.

Just like picture easy clean just what I need to grind seeds in cooking.

I like how compact this is as we have a small kitchen in our home. It's not that sturdy but is compact and easy to clean. It's rather small so you can't grind up too much in it.

Pleased with design and colour reasonably priced.

Great for a couple of teaspoons

Smaller than I anticipated but Does the job. Ideal for crushing small amounts of herbs or pills.
