This stuff is awesome! I chose this brand because it doesn't have any fillers and it's supposed to be a very fine powder on the inside, not an irritating sand-like texture like some other brands. So recently I went to the doctor who gave me antibiotics for an infection in my uterus, and also prescribed yeast infection meds (fluconazole) to take after my antibiotics. Needless to say, the antibiotics for my uterine infection jump-started a raging yeast infection (ugh) and I couldn't wait to take the fluconazole. I followed the doctor's instructions and took 1 tablet, waited 3 days, and then took my other tablet. However.. I still wasn't feeling any relief! In fact, I felt worse! (On a side note, I've been dealing with yeast infections off and on for the past 3 months so this was especially frustrating.) On day 4 of having the prescription meds in my system and feeling worse, I decided to order BoriCap because I was impatient and needed relief. They came the next evening and I inserted one right away! That was 2 days ago and the next day I felt SO much better! So I inserted one again yesterday, and today I feel almost normal! I just inserted my 3rd one this morning and I will do a 4th one tonight around bed time. I'm going to continue doing this for awhile until I'm sure the infection is gone, and then I will switch to using it for maintenance. I suppose the BoriCap could be just a coincidence, and I only felt better because the Fluconazole finally kicked in. But I really don't think that's the case. I was literally miserable from all of the raw painful spots, as well as the incessant itching, and the next morning after using the suppository there was no more pain, and the itching had gone down to just a slight tickle here and there. I don't think it was a coincidence. I will update this post if anything changes, but so far this is a lifesaver! UPDATE: Just wanted to say that I've felt fantastic and completely normal ever since I wrote this review a few days ago. I will always have these on hand if I ever feel that dreaded itch coming on. SECOND UPDATE: These things are still great! The hormonal changes towards the end of your period can sometimes cause yeast infections, so if I feel even the slightest tickle or itch come on down there, I use one of these and NO infection develops. I now always use one towards the end of my period no matter what (for prevention) and never have yeast infections anymore. I haven't had an infection since I bought these. :) 3rd UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER: These are still a lifesaver. I have not had a single yeast infection since the one described in my original review. If I ever, ever feel a single mild itch or tickle (usually around my period, like i said because of the hormonal changes) I just pop one of these in and go about my day and forget that one tickle ever even happened. All I need is ONE to prevent any yeaster bunnies from coming to town. I will always have a bottle on hand for the rest of my life (I'm serious). 4th & FINAL UPDATE (2023): So I recently had to take antibiotics again, so I decided to try to prevent a yeast infection using these! I immediately started using 1 per day starting the first day of antibiotics. On Day 7 I felt very mild yeast infection symptoms, so I upped it to 2 per day (morning and evening). Guess what?! It worked! I have now completed a 12 day course of antibiotics and NO YEAST INFECTION! I love these!! I will never not have them in my home! I am so grateful I found these.

I have been having trouble for years with vaginal issues. Itching, burning etc. I was also dealing with menopause so I thought everything was related to that. I went to the doctor and did not appear to have any infection so I sort of was putting up with all this discomfort and using hydrocortisone cream which was making the problem worse in the long run. Almost a year ago I got some estrogen cream to try to deal with the thinning and it really helped that but I was still having the itching so I decided to give BoriCap a try. It was easy enough to use these but they do make me leak watery fluid for the next day when I use one at night. To combat that I have tried to slightly loosen the capsule before I insert it. I do use an applicator to make sure I get it placed as deeply as possible. By loosening the capsule it seems to start working sooner. Maybe because I am post meno...and do not have a lot of natural lubrication going on, the capsule does not dissolve right away. Anyway that is my experience. The good news is that almost immediately this works to relieve the itching. I could not believe it because nothing else worked and I was starting to think there was something seriously wrong with me. I never did use these for several days like the directions said because I felt better after a couple days and could not deal with leaking constantly for a week. I now use them once a week to keep things in check. I have been using them regularly for quite some time and just came back to order anther bottle and decided to leave a review. I have zero side effects. This stuff is ten times better than creams and leaves you just feeling clean. There is no smell, no burning, no irritation. These are literally miraculous for me.. I absolutely LOVE this product! I, like a lot of women, have an imbalanced vag PH and I'm sure it's due to some of my unhealthy habits but I was struggling with yeast infection like almost Everytime I had sex. It was frustrating! I did some research and was taking oral supplements which did not help. Even tried changing my diet. So I ran across a YouTuber and she mentioned this product. I found out that in order to help balance out your vaginal PH you need to treat right at the site. Oral supplements aren't typically effective and so this being a suppository it gets right to the point. This small suppository is super easy to insert and easily desolves. There can be a little drainage so I would advise a panty liner or something that will help with any mess. It's usually not much though. It is an amazing maintenance product and I have not had to deal with any horrible yeast infection. Anytime I feel like one maybe coming along I use one of these at night for one or so nights and the symptoms clear up. This product is worth every dollar!

These work great I was having a ph balance was off. Since Ive had a total hysterectomy things aren't the same. I heard about this product used it as directed noticed the smell left and I noticed my nails started getting longer and stronger too.

I had what I thought was a bacterial vaginosis causing a lot of discharge. Since menopause I have not experienced any discharge at all, so I could easily tell that BoriCap worked for me, it alleviated the discharge within days. I now think the issue is my Ph balance and BoriCap helped resolved it. I'm very happy with the product and will continue to use it. My BIG issue is the total lack of directions or any information about how to use it and what one might experience while using it. The fact this is a woman-owned company made the lack of information even more frustrating. I found myself Googling how far to insert (2") and how long it takes to dissolve (10 to 30 minutes). Then I experience a lot of wetness during the night and next morning (totally normal, use at bedtime and wear a panty liner), so I'm Googling what that was about, I also needed to find out how long is too long to continue using it (still not sure, I used a couple days after my issue cleared up and will use it once a week for maintenance). It was a lot of research that I'd have expected to be on the bottle or on the company website. It also could have come with at least one applicator, it's a small capsule to do manually, especially if you experience menopausal dryness. I ended up using a tampon applicator which probably worked better than the options I found on Amazon. I also discovered that dryness could be problematic since the capsule needs some moisture in order to dissolve and lack of it could cause burning and discomfort. Luckily that was not an issue for me but it is certainly very important information. Overall, I like the product but am completely disappointed in the lack of directions and information.

Works very well. Only used one so far. I wish there were more instructions on how far to place the suppository. I have not seen one brand say how many inches deep. So me….. I just put it as far as it would go. Don’t be like me. I have an iud in place and usually only spot during my periods. Probably a day after placing the suppository, I started spotting. Thought it was my period early. Didn’t think anything of it. Now I’m passing small clots which is not normal for me with my iud. This further leads me to believe I placed it way too deep. After doing some research, I found that it should be placed 1 inch beyond the opening of your vagina to avoid irritation . Will update because I would love to keep using them. *Update - used per bottle recommendation for 7 days. Seemed to be like a round of antibiotics to clear out whatever may be in there. I did have a lot of discharge at this time but as the days went by it was less and less. Now I only use one after sex. The discharge is minimal but the wetness is plentiful lol. So be prepared. I’ve had no further issues with bleeding. I believe it was placed too deep. To describe it, if you would push a tampon as far as it would, I would do this less than half that distance. I never had an issue with BV or even knew what it was until I got with my boyfriend. Of course having unprotected sex can throw the PH balance off for women but sadly I did not know that as it never happened to me before. I started to notice a fishy smell about two months into the relationship and it really broke my spirit. I was embarrassed to have sex and my boyfriend stopped going down town if you know what I mean. I was so insecure and so I started to look into the meaning behind the scent. At first I thought it was a yeast infection but after a visit to planned parenthood they confirmed it was BV. They gave me an antibiotic and it cured it right away, that was until it came right back a month later. I couldn’t keep going back for antibiotics because honestly the side effects were horrible (dizzy spells and explosive diarrhea). I tried using the rephresh gel applicators and it worked to cover up the scent but only for a few days. I kept doing research online until I finally came across boric acid suppositories. I came on amazon to find the best reviewed/ affordable product and I figured why not give it a try (IM DESPERATE) Let me tell you, this product is soooo amazing. It not only clears up the smell, it gets rid of the infection. I use it every time after sex and usually at bed time. The only downside is that the product will leak out throughout the day and will leave your underwear with some pasty residue so just wear panty liners. It also makes me very wet to the point I drip. Other than that there is no pain, no irritation, no rash, no odor. Really I have nothing to complain about! I’ve been using this product for about 6 months now and honestly I can’t live without it. It is my new lifesaver and my sex life is way better!! Im so much more confident with myself! I also am now 4 months pregnant and I still use it without an issue. I know untreated BV can affect pregnancy so I’m glad I don’t have a problem with it anymore thanks to this product. I highly recommend this product to anyone that may have a similar experience to mine.
