Great Reference Document for British Car Owners
If you deal with Lucas electrics (i.e. You own an older British car and are pulling your hair out) you need this book. You are NOT going to read this from cover to cover. However, when you are trying to understand what is wrong electrically on your car you will pick this book up and read through various sections. It is very well written and organized. If you plan on troubleshooting your British car's electrical system, you need this book as a reference document.

very technical
This is a very thorough and technical book. If you know nothing about auto electrics like me you will have to study it and re-read sections to understand it. But with that said I was able to use it to correct the electrical issues I was having in my '76 MG Midget.

British Electrical Systems Review
Classic British Car Electrical Systems is a well written and illustrated book. It gives a very good explaination of basic wiring, problems associated with circuits and how components may interact with each other. The book is a good to own reference for those who have a pre-electronic age British automobile.

Excellent Technical Book!!!
Solved my issues and answered my questions with the in-depth treatment of each chapter. This is the book I should have had when I first replaced the "olde" Lucas wiring.

This is an excellent book that includes many detailed explanations and electrical diagrams in color. A must have for anyone with a "Little British Car", in my wife's case a 1969 MG Midget. I became aware of this book through an excellent review in "AHCM Healey Happenings", the monthly newsletter of the Austin Healey Club of Manitoba (AHCM). It has definitely lived up to my expectations. Wish we had had it sooner.

Excellent
The books that I purchase are not just for me, I teach automotive engineering for a training provider in my home town. Although we are in an increasingly technical society these books are very useful for broadening the mind of our learners and they benefit enormously from them. I would also recommend them for any DIY enthusiast as a professional automotive engineer they are excellent value for money

Car Electrics Demystified
I have struggled with car and m/bike electrics for years and have always had to ask mates for advise/help. This book has helped my understanding enormously and have bought/made my first items to aid diagnosis of electrical problems. Well worth the money.
