Are these cushioned socks?

No, they are not. If you want decent cushioned socks, try Thorlo Pads. My husband bought me some a few years ago and they have lasted!!! A little pricier, bud super comfortable and they don't fall down. Good luck!

Do these Sox have grippers on the hottom?

I don't have any on right now, but as I recall, there are no grippers on the bottom. The grippers are on the inside of the heel so they won't slip off and under your foot. They stay on quite well!
