the rope IS adjustable.....
Most hanging lights are NOT MADE to order to a specific length. Ceiling heights are variable from 8,9,10,12' ceilings, therefor the designer made the rope to be cut to size to accommodate the various options for you based on your ceiling height. To cut to size it is VERY EASY and should not be a reason to not purchase. if you have an x-acto knife, a tape measure, and electrical tape to keep the rope in its spiral shape, you can do this!!! The quality is fantastic, and he look is as seen in pictures.

Great statement piece
I love the light but it’s not adjustable, so just know that unless you plan to swag, the length is exactly what it states. So measure ahead of time! I ended up taking it apart and cutting it.

Beautiful for a beach cottage.
We love the look. The cap is black so we did spray paint it white like our ceiling and we did have to knot rope a few times to shorten. The rope is quite long.

If you have been searching for this woven/rattan/wicker style-type light pendant, you will like this one. Even the largest size one was even bigger than I anticipated. I added some vines to make it go with my jungle theme too. Beautiful both day and night.

Inaccurate Product Desription
The product description clearly reads that the rope is adjustable. It in fact is NOT adjustable. It is so long, even with my 10' ceiling, the pendant touches the top of my table and there is no way to shorten it. Do not buy this product unless your ceilings are 15' or higher.

Disappointed with the ceiling plate
Disappointed that the ceiling plate is black, it's an odd design choice when most ceilings are white. The rope cord is also really, really, really, really long and it isn't clear how to shorten it.

Too long!
It’s Beautiful!! Almost perfect, except the length of the rope. It is way to long, even after attempting to adjust length. Had to return.
