I didn't have pain but generally I found it to be a good product. **Q: Can this be used for dried wax on the outside of my ear?** A: Im not the seller or a doctor but i don’t see why not, it breaks down the wax internally so im presuming it will on outside also. Good product helped me threw a major ear infection that sent me deaf in one ear! My hearings back now and still use it to keep wax build up down. **Q: Is this bottle refillable with, say olive oil?** A: No, the bottle isn't refillable. **Q: Should I use whilst standing or is it better to spray lying down? Thanks in advance** A: I lay down on my bed and put a towel under my head. I tilted the affected ear upwards and then sprayed into it. There was a little oveflow which the towel caught. I let the spray work for a few minutes using a little rubber plug to retain it after which I went to the bathroom and tilted the remaining spray into the wash hand basin and flushed it away. After trying several ways I found the best was a little rubber bottle bought on Amazon, filled it with warm water and flushed out my ear over the wash hand basin and hey, voila!
