This 4440ic amplifier works by bridging two ic to get 19w rms only not 100w.For longer life use 8 ohm speaker but output little low and if you use 4 ohm higher output but Ic overheats may damage on longer run.Advantages1) Small amplifier good output.2) Treble and bass good effect.3) Best use diy purpose for small boombox.Disadvantages1) At full volume sound cracks (distortion) especially when full bass On.2) Ic heats very much and use small fan or big heatsink to prevent Ic burns.Power supply:1) Use 12v 5A Smps mode supply to reduce hiss or hum noise.2 You can use up to 18V dc 5A supply for max output but add a fan or use big heatsink to reduce Ic heat.3) Transformer supply make hum or hiss in amplifier higher hum if you do not use chassis.
