Used to reinforce hems & seams on chiffon skirts.
UPDATE: I just bought 2 more skirts & 2 more Fray Checks. I wrote my original review several years ago. I have not had a single issue with the seams & hems I originally treated w/ Fray Check. I wear the skirts several times each summer. I place them in a laundry bag before machine washing & hang drying them. Theyโve held up to years of wear & laundering. I recently purchased a blouse w/ decorative strings at the neck. Thereโs a decorative oval detail at the end of each string. They are wrapped w/ a thread that started fraying after 1 wash. I treaded the ovals w/ Fray Check & theyโve stopped fraying. I was even able to repair the damage. I swear by this product. It has so many uses. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love wearing maxi skirts & recently purchased 2 from Amazon.Afibi Women Full/Ankle Length Blending Maxi Chiffon Long Skirt Beach Skirt Design J(1)) and N(7). The top layer of the skirts is made from a vibrant, sheer, chiffon material. Each skirt has a knee length liner which is made from a more substantial material. The hems & seams on the chiffon layers are not folded & sewn. They're sewn with a simply machine stitch which leaves a finished edge. But, I think there's a good chance that the material will fray. Maxi skirts tend to sweep the ground or floor & a simple finishing stitch may not be enough to protect the hem of my skirt. Then there's the wear from washing the skirts. I remembered using a similar product many years ago. It could have been the same product. But, I'm not sure. Anyway, I purchased this & treated the seams & hems on both skirts. I was afraid that it would make the material stiffer where applied. I noticed a very slight difference. It was certainly not enough to affect the way the skirts fall or how the seams feel against my legs. I now feel confident that I can wear my skirts w/o worrying about the material fraying. I will update this review with info on how the Fray Checked worked once I've worn & cleaned the skirts a few times.

Excellent product, I keep it on hand all the time.
Indispensable for stopping laddering, fraying, shedding, little dings, securing buttons before they start getting loose. Never in 40-ish years has it damaged any fabric in any way.

**My Go-To Product for Stopping Fraying!**
Dritz Fray Check is an absolute lifesaver for my cross-stitch projects! Itโs hands down my favorite product to stop fraying on Aida fabric. The clear, liquid seam sealant works like magic, keeping the edges of my fabric neat and secure while also ensuring that thread ends stay in place. Whatโs even better is that itโs both washable and dry cleanable, so I never have to worry about it coming off after laundering. The professional finish it gives my projects is incredibleโno more frayed edges ruining the look of my hard work! I also love that this package comes with two bottles of 0.75 fl oz. each. Itโs such a great value to have multiples on hand, especially when Iโm working on multiple projects at once. I highly recommend Dritz Fray Check to anyone who sews, quilts, or crafts. Itโs a must-have in my toolkit!

Handy helper for craft and sewing!
Works great to prevent fraying and can be used in multiple applications. So far I have used Fray Check on: โข Serger Seams โข Twill Tape Ends โข Finishing a Machine Stitch Results have all been fantastic! Looking forward to the many possibilities. A few tips to read *before opening: โข Only open one tube at a time, this will ensure you have this around for a while. Especially helpful for seldom crafters, who may only use Fray Check a few times a month, or even year. That is unless you are using Fray Check in multiple projects, some requiring a more precise application and others needing a larger portion at once. In which case... โข For those crafting weekly, or full time, you may want to open one tube with a pin, creating a pinhole sized opening for precision and the other tube cutting the seal with scissors. Do so by first holding up to a light to see where the solid plastics opens up to the bottle. Determine how wide youโd like the opening to be, *then cut. A favorite old saying comes to mind; โmeasure twice, cut onceโ โข Test! Test! Test! For each new way you are using Fray Check, set up a replication of your project as a small sample and test, start to finish. Example; if you plan to use this in something stretchy, or are going to machine wash the finished product, go through each step with like materials and be sure this will work for the intended use and with the results youโd expect. I will come back to update occasionally as I find new uses. Hope this helps!

Perfecto para arreglar deshilachados, el two-pack puede ser demasiado porque sรณlo necesitas unas gotas.

use this on and off - handy to have in sewing kit
this is great, as it stops things from fraying. I wouldn't recommend for simply putting on something like a moth hole tho, as it dries slightly dark and hard - same as if you applied super glue to fabric. I use it where seams are tight, but remain hidden to stop stitches pulling out, or where twist locks are inserted and the fabric has to be cut to accommodate.
