I have been using it on my Belgian Malinois everyday and it still looks like new. I can vouch that it is made of good quality. **Q: is this small enough for a little chihuaua with only a few teeth?** A: It might be. Not particularly familiar with a Chihuaua mouth. Brush head is 3/4 x 1/4 inch. A less stressful suggestion would be to use Premium Pet Dental Spray. I use both on my shih tzu who is 12 and has a full mouth of teeth. **Q: How often should the brush be replaced** A: Depends on how often you brush your dog’s teeth. Also, it doesn’t last very long so I would say replace it when the brush part gets old.
