Replacement Suction Cup
Hummingbird does not sell a replacement suction cup - you have to buy the entire mounting kit just to get a new cup. This is not only unnecessarily expensive - it is also wasteful. You can purchase a suction cup that will fit the Hummingbird mounting kit at iMarineUSA.com. It is a perfect fit and it works just as good (if not better) than the Hummingbird cup. This is the cup on iMarineUSA: Airmar 33-139 Replacement Suction Cup for P72 Portable 33-139 1 $8.95

Works great
Used it for a humming helix 7, suction works great. Little spendy but it'll pay off in the end. Thanks

Quality solution for certain mobile requirements.
Product was returned unopened. It was not compatible with my chartplotter's transducer.

Works at Low Speed
Using this with the portable model Humminbird Helix 5 fish finder/GPS on a rental skiff in Alaska. It helps locate salmon. Be certain to read the fine print that says do not have this attached to the boat above trolling speed, and you won't have to buy another one like I did. It does stay attached below 7-8 mph if you put it on correctly. Make certain to extend the wire enough to attach the transducer cord via an overhand knot to something on the boat. If you forget to detach it and crank up the speed of the boat, the transducer and suction cup will at least remain attached to the boat.

Original Humminbird Part
I gave this a 4, based on how it is designed. I have another of these that I use a lot. It is tricky to get it to adhere to the back of the boat, and likes to let loose and allow the transducer to be dragged behind the boat. (Not a good thing) The new one works just like the old one.The upside is that it is still the best one that I have found.Would probably never accidentally come off of a canoe, or another boat that doesn't go very fast.

Missing parts
Sad to say for that price and 5 parts missing - not good amigo

Very good.
I have taken this out on my sterndrive at least 7 times now. Each time I cruise for over 20 miles going between 30-45mph. Though I tied the loose cord well in the event it came loose, my fears were unfounded. Not once did it come loose. My only problem is that it struggled to stay at the proper angle upright. It would be even better if it wasn't mounted by just a single screw, which can twist under torque. For this reason, it isn't perfect, but it gets the job done.

Mechanical screws and nuts should be used if you don't want to lose the suction cup, but overral it serves it's purpose

I have not had the chance to try this out ...
I have not had the chance to try this out yet but I am sure it will do the job and work well with the hunninbird product I have used on another power boat. This is for a 12ft rowboat with an electric motor. I fi anything changes I will update my review.Thank you KB

Works good
Great way to hold your transducer without drilling into your boat. I wanted a cheaper setup and I didn’t want to risk the leaks. It was worth a try. Turned out great. I have a light 14’ Jon boat and it zips on the water pretty good. This thing holds on really well. Lasted me spring/summer fishing season. I always take it off when I’m done and store it so the rubber doesn’t dry out and crack. Gives me good readings too.

Works fairly well
The ease of installing this is phenomenal. However, it doesn't stay on well when moving, so really is a stationary item. Would totally be 5 star if it would stay on while trolling along the shoreline.

Check the suction cup regularly.
I'm giving it a three star because it works well with the transducer however the suction doesn't hold great. Had on an aluminum boat and cleaned the surface prior to suctioning on. Worked for about a half day and it came off the the prop cut the transducer and the suction cup off, needless to say I'm out about $100. Check to make sure it on since they come off easy

Great in a pinch.
Nice to have when you are trying to attach to a rental boat at an outpost. Didn't use the suction cup but was able to bolt it to another mounting apparatus and use a clamp to hold it to the boat. I had four ways to attach the transducer and used two of the options together to attach it to the boat. When they drop you off at an outpost and you haven't tested your method of attachment to the boat, it is a good idea to have options.

Perfect!
I made a portable fish finder and wanted to have an easy mount for the transducer. Then I came upon this product and found that this would be a much cheaper option, not to mention it would fit in my small storage box that has the entire units, cables, etc. This works great for my kayak, and I use it when I visit family and we rent boats. The suction cup is well designed and stays on very well, I never worry about it falling. In fact, sometimes I struggle to remove it. Great product.

So far so good
At first was somewhat skeptical, I mounted it on dry boat in the yard prior to fishing. Checked on it an hour or so later and the suction cup had fallen off. However, after putting the jon boat in water and mounting the suction cup while in the water; I've had no problems since. Fished with this 3 times so far and it works great. Best part about this product is not having to drill any holes in my boat.
