I have a phone, but it minimulizes the map too much.
We haven't used it yet, but it is the same band as our old one. If we could have just received it a few days earlier, I would not have missed a very important appointment.

Beware of the poor quality!!!!
Don't rely on this GPS Getting you to the right location. I have a delivery service and so far it had diverted me to locations miles away, or takes me to a location in the middle of a forest. One time it was 16 miles further than I had to go. The screen is the only plus I could fine on this item. Don't let the price lure into a purchase, just a waste of money.

Two Years Now
I have used this GPS from Longruf for two years now. The software I have on my GPS is two years old, and I can't crack the code on getting an update, but let me tell you what I like about this GPS..the software update is not that big a deal. When I use it, I'm not looking for nearby gas stations or points of interest, I'm looking for nothing except where I want to go, so I've gone into the menu system and turned off all the extraneous stuff. I turned off voice, I glance at the screen to see how far it is to my next turn. There are several helpful features on this GPS that I really like. If you want to go to Mike's muffler shop, just type in Mike's into the search box. If Mike's is listed on the internet, the GPS will list all the Mike's it can find, starting with the Mike's closest to your current location. It lists them with the address. If you know where Mike's is roughly, you can pick the right one and it will show you how to get there. You don't have to enter Mike's address, to find Mike's Muffler Shop. If you're going to Health and Human Services, enter HHS in the search box. It will come back with all the HHS locations starting with the closest one to your current location. That is very handy. It has a Favorites feature for locations you go to routinely, and once you get there (the first time), use the Where am I feature and select More, and add that location to your Favorites list. Rename it to whatever you like, and from that point on, select that location from your Favorites List. I use that to find directions to 33 stores I service, and it's particularly handy when I can skip some stores and want the fastest route to the one I want to go to, next. The power is supplied with a cigarette lighter plug. The spring in the plug is a little weak. I replaced it with a spring from a ballpoint pen, and it's working for two years now. This is a good little (7", not that little) GPS, you just have to set it up to work for you. The price is the selling point. Don't pay hundreds when you can get what you need for less. When it cranks up with white lines, unplug it, which reboots it, and drive on. The software updates you don't get only show new roads that weren't there when the software was made. Other than that, everything is good. I recommend it, especially at this price.

Big technical issue.
Interesting issue. Not acceptable. The GPS I received told me my two hour drive would take 8 hours. Arriving at 6 pm. Then, as I got one hot a way the GPS still had me arriving at 6 pm.

No such thing as FREE lifetime map update.
I purchased my Longruf GPS in 2022 and just now tried to get my first Free Lifetime Map update. I had to give them my phone number, take a call from a "Tech" who demanded I pay a "Licensing Fee" of $199 to obtain the "free lifetime update". The GPS is decent, pretty accurate , although at times it tries to take me on ways not making any sense (like drive 1/2 mile straight, turn right 1/2 mile, turn right again a 1/2 mile and end up at the intersection where I could have just turned left in the first place. What I like about it is I can input multiple stops, not sure on how many but I've put in up to 25 at once. For the price, its a good buy, but why would anyone pay $199 to obtain the Free updates when you can buy the latest model for $55?
