It also pivots for comfort. I almost bought a generic soft product similar to this, but this works great and is comfortable. It's not comfortable at first - because your muscles are tight. But it really loosens then up. This relieves my tension headaches faster than anything else. There is even a more intense rubber bar to use. That thing really gets in and stretches your neck. It's intense, but the benefits can't be denied. Now I'm glad that I didn't buy the foam version. This one really stretches and improves, instead of being a semi supportive pillow. I can't really say if other styles work. But I can definitely vouch that this one does! Review: I actually don't use this ON my teeter, as I like to keep that pretty "clean" for it's main use.
