Which side goes up? I just got my tarp and it has a rough side and a plastic feeling side (which I assume is the water proof layer). Sticky up?

Plastic should be on bottom to keep moisture off you clothing and other articles.

Will sand stick to this? Im going on vacation and want a small waterproof/sandproof/ beach blanket.
