Using a fine, flat file, hold the sight with your fingers and run the " BOTTOM of the sight base ONLY " back and forth across the file. I rotated the sight and filed the sight base an equal amount of times. Check often to see how far into the dovetail that you can push the sight in with your fingers. Mine took a lot of filing. IN FACT, I destroyed the first sight and had to order another one, when the sight bent while trying to push it in the dovetail with a sight pusher. Take your time ! This is " not " a drop in part. I pushed mine in with my fingers somewhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of the way into the dovetail before resorting to the sight pusher and it was still a tight fit. " If only everything was that tight ".

This front sight needed a lot of fitting. Most beveled sights are cast oversized and machined to the right dimensions. Or within 002 - 003. This sight was cast to fit the P22x and truing the base made it loose in the dovetail. I staked it in and got a good fit but this is not a drop in part. The Meprolight adjustable rear sight was well machined and finished. Maybe I got a bad one . . .

Dot is small not bright green like shown in picture... does glow at night but not why I bought it... I wanted a bright green dot to draw eye to front sight the picture showed bright green dot... not the case... it does glow green at night but it is not a big green dot like it looks.
