Lalaloopsy Deluxe Spot Splatter Splash Costume

I caught this costume on sale and it was a great deal. The costume itself was very nice and looks just like the picture.

My 8 year-old daughter decided to be Spot Splatter Splash for Halloween this year. I feel like this costume is a little over-priced for the quality. I think the price is likely because of the wig. The wig is cute, but it does look a bit different than the picture. While the wig is cute, we ended up not using it for Halloween night. My daughter wore it for the morning Halloween parade at her school, but only a few minutes into the parade, the wig was falling off of her. She had worn it the week before at a Halloween party as well, and had the same problem. The problem is that the "pig tails" of the wig are REALLY heavy, so they bounce like crazy with every single step. This constant bouncing makes the wig move around and eventually fall off no matter how much pinning you do with it. For Halloween night we ended up just putting my daughter's own hair into pigtails and spiral curling her own hair. It was much more comfortable, and she looked really cute. Since we couldn't really use the wig due to it being VERY uncomfortable and virtually impossible to keep on, I would like to have paid MUCH less for the costume. It's worth more like $15-$20.

This is a great costume for this price. It includes the wig which most costumes sell separately (ex: starwberry shortcake) and the dress is well constructed including some mesh fabric that allows the skirt to be fluffy. My only complaint is the wig. The color is more of a mustard and not bright yellow and it doesnt fit a the picture. It fits more like a hat than a wig (some hair visible in front and back. I tried a size small on both a 5 year old and a 2 year old and the wig still doesnt sink all the way. Other than that very cute indeed.

This is a cheap, horribly made costume. The wig is very small and fits like a beanie, nowhere near as low as in the picture. It came with the yarn unraveled across the top and off of a couple of the foam tubes so I had to re-wrap and hot glue everything back into place. The bows were glued on and one was undone- I'm not even sure it was ever tied because I couldn't re-tie it with the way it was glued, so I had to cut them off and re-do them also. Two of the tubes had the metal wire sticking out half way through. The tubes are shorter than pictured and have yarn wrapped around them to keep them together. Unfortunately this keeps me from positioning them the way they're supposed to look and they keep sticking outwards- like a blond Wendy's girl. The dress is made from cheap, thin low thread count material and is all one piece, poorly hemmed together. There are loose threads hanging off of every section. The back has one velcro closure at the neck, so there is a large opening down the back. My daughter is thin and 42" tall so I ordered a size Small. It is tight, the elastic goes across her rib cage instead of the waste and the length barely covers her bum. The tulle is thin and scratchy, and is placed too low causing the dress to have a weird shape. The boot shoe covers have two pieces of elastic that velcro together in the middle of the bottom shoe and one of the elastic sides were torn off and needed resewn. The velcro doesn't hold together well at all. Looking at this costume, I wonder why I didn't just make it myself to begin with but it's too late now. I wanted to return it but my daughter begged to keep it and I can't find a better Lalaloopsy costume, it seems this is what they're all like.

When this arrived, I was so excited until I opened it. The dress was a bit tatered the bottom had strings hanging all over it big time! The best part was the big red ring-shaped stain on the boot cover, I was so disappointed. My 5 yr old loved it though. She tried it on and it fit, we ordered a small which was fine. I was afraid to return it and she be upset in case it was out of stock.The wig and boot covers did not stay on but the costume did make it thru a day of school, a Halloween party and trick-or-treating, so what can I say, it served its purpose.

Boot & dress are AWESOME! Wig is the problem. I had to sew on an elastic headband so that it wouldn't fall of my 4yr old's head. I also removed the bows and glued them a little closer to the front cause you can't quite see them once the wig is on. The wig is a pain but with my adjustment, it stayed on all night during trick or treating. yay!

I looks better in the picture. Really bad quality. The wig is not wearable at all… it's a mess. The red color bleeds… yes… it bleeds!!!! The shoe cover is huge. You have to remake basically the whole thing to make wearable.

My daughter loved this costume. We received so many compliments. The wig is adorable. Only down side is that it is very thin, you definitely have to layer for the cold weather areas.

Nos ha gustado mucho el disfraz.. La peluca muy conseguida, y el vestido muy gracioso. Buena compra. Y el precio lo mejor.

Disfraz cómodo, divertido y de buena calidad. La peluca es muy bonita.Para la talla que compré quizá un poco grande.
