I have not been disappointed, lots of stuff online to help. Seen a lot of complaints on this and it's mostly BS, it's a well put together fairly on the cheaper side cost, machine and I had no trouble setting it up. I had to buy additional equipment to actually run it, you'll need a chiller, DI water about 1 1/2 gals for the model I used, you'll need a place you can vent a 6" hole to the outside which may require additional equipment you'll have to buy. I do electrical work so I was able to set mine up pretty decent. Lite burn is straight forward and easy to use. Plenty online to educate yourself on how to use the software and engraver. So far I've been able to complete every project I've ran with no issues going on week #5.The negative comments seem to come from people who didn't do research, read, and educate themselves on this. It's not beginner level although in my personal opinion if you can read and follow directions easily then you can definitely set this up and use it without little help. Again I state, plenty of people use OMTECH equipment so the amount of stuff/help you'll find on YouTube is plenty.

The laser came earlier than the estimated timeframe. Shipping company, Saia, was fast and friendly. The laser was packaged very well and in order to get it down to my workshop in my basement we had to put it in end and take it down on a handcart. Even still the laser worked perfectly! This laser is very well made and a workhorse! So far I haven’t made any upgrades and it is exceeding my expectations. It engraved and cuts fast and clean.it’s very user friendly and the manual has lots of great information. I’m very happy with my purchase, it’s my second OMTech and it won’t be my last!

I reviewed several laser options before buying this. Even with this being made in China the price was what turned me. But, I was very disappointed with output.In all fairness I have another co2 laser from a US company as comparison and I spent more. However, the raster engraving detail was really lacking with this model. The laser was aligned but the the lines start to burn when the laser head slows down towards any corner. Results tended to give a darkened, discolored engraving finish that produced heavier lines.I read this elsewhere and will second the fact that the US eagle wood engraving image on OMTech sales page is not possible with this model! Maybe an Epilog or Trotec machine, but not this unit.This is not a 'commercial' laser! If you are just starting out and don't want to commit to buying a real commercial laser I recommend looking elsewhere.To lower/raise the bed it's faster to hand pull the belt on the bottom than to turn the knob. But, I believe their other models have this as automated which is what I prefer.I was not able to get support to help from their website. They instead sent me back to support inside Amazon since 'OM Tech Direct' was a separate company. But this support option did NOT provide phone support?? This online support took days to communicate what should take a few minutes.The refund process was left to me to figure out. They did point me in a general direction. But, I had to schedule the pick up with the LTL freight company. The provided phone numbers were dead so it took 2 weeks to finally get a pick up - but in the end I was refunded. I do not recommend this laser.

Came sooner than expected with no damage. Everything I needed was there and received the key for the software prior to laser showing up!

Purchased this laser engraving machine on Amazon. Unit arrieved well packed but impossible to save the container as the instructions said. Aux power plug for the water cooler was some kind of multi nation plug that was broken. Door sensor was hanging loose and I had to repair. Luckly I am a technician and I could repair both the plug and the door sensor. Found a loose nut rattleing around in the cabinet no idea where it came from. User manual is cheap black and white generic printed with no parts list, specifics in operation. Refering to the manual I had questions so I messaged OMTECH on their web page. After waiting days for a response, the answer I got did not address my question but appeared to be generic and written by a non-english speaker. After again asking for clarification they did not know where in the manual the text in question was written in their manual so I had to send them a screen shot. I finally got the unit powered up. I learned quickly that the unit is stripped down version without all the bells and whistles is equipped with only the X asnd Y axis, no auto focus, no seperate rotary table axis plug. After all this now it is too late to return and the shipping container is destroyed. I finally got the machine running and after a couple hours I plugged in the rotary table in. After a few minutes of running some cut experiments the laser gantry it failed. The gantry slammed into the end and begain making a terrible sound. I reset the unit powered down and attached the axis back up and took out the rotary table. On power up the laser gantry went to the rear left and hit. The cheap CB mic plug on the rotary table is now burned on one pin and cannot be plugged back in and it appears the limit switch on the gantry appears broken as it is askew. This laser appears to be a generic Chinese product marketed under different names. I am currently trying to get parts and info from OMTECH. Unless their support gets better I would not recommend this product! OMTECH needs better fit and finish, better documentation, acutal live customer service. Sadly it would only take a minimum amout of money to actually make this a better product. Appears to have no warranty byond the 30 day return. Part 2. Well I was wrong and the company does have a warranty on the laser it is not published on Amazon. Omtech has now sent me the parts to repair the unit and has also resolved the issue of the time I have spent on repairs. They have also reported my problems to the QC department and the manufacutre. Hopefully this will be the last of my problems with the machine. It does appear to be a good quality product for the price, it is just a few little things that could be done to make the quality throughout. Because OMTECH has done a good job to resolve my issues I would be netural on recommending the unit. If they do a few things with their Amazon ad and upgrade a few things I would give them a higher rating. I will know more in 6 weeks.

I'm on my second mother board. Started with major burn issues, laser firing through traverse lives. That problem was solved with new mother board. Now they 3-5 pieces will not burn correctly. Burns only half an image them burns the other half somewhere else. I've lost a lot of product this way.

Broke within the first week and customer service was horrible and so slow
