It actually does help keep weeds from wrapping around the prop
Very easy to crank off by hand and stays tight keeps the prop on very easy to use performs. Great installation is especially easy. Take old one off screw new one on by hand does not need to be cranked down tight at all. I’ve been using mine for three months straight through thick Hydrilla And has never once loosened and helps. Keep the weeds from wrapping around propeller great deal great price great product.

Amazing, It Works!
A friend of mine suggested that I get this for my Minn Kota Ultrex. Unbelievable! My trolling motor had a harmonic noise at certain rpm's. This device has quieted my trolling motor at all speeds, no more vibration!!! It screws on hand tight and has never loosened since I installed it 4 months ago.

easy to install and looks cool too
This this is well made and a lot heaver than expected. Makes removal of the prop tool free so it can be done on the water if needed to get your DA brothers fishing line unwrapped from the prop.

My trolling motor had a slight vibration and this device reduced it significantly. Seems to be quieter, too.

Had to cut this off
At first I liked it, but over time I believe the aluminum hub on the steel axel caused it to corrode (dissimilar metals) and the only way to remove it was by cutting it off. Would not recommend using this hub.
