Works for me with no problem. Well satisfied so far
I was always skeptical about a electric chainsaw. My father who is 75 years old wanted one and he picked out this song because of his light weight so he can handle it we use he is to cut up part of a Oaktree and it seemed to do a good job. I had another big tree to take down so I bought me one so I will not have to borrow his. I cut everything but the main trunk piece. 18inches in diameter with no problem. It came with an Oregon chainsaw blade and with the quality of the saw blade there was no problem. so far I am very pleased. Luckily the trees were close to my house and the drop cord issue worked out. I am a person in the construction industry and if I have to use a piece of equipment that is consistently needs power after go to equipment with a drop cord. batteries are awesome But they do wear out and over a period of time they are obsolete. If this is something you would use for trimming around the house Or have access to a generator. So far I would not have second thoughts about buying one. It uses quite a bit of oil for the bar I see were some people complain about using too much oil. It’s seem to me to be what it needed to complete the job with the ratio of the oil. And used almost 3/4 of a gallon that’s not unusual for any chainsaw. If you buy one go get a gallon of bar oil. Not a quart!

Nice saw
I live in a small city in Michigan's "thumb". I have quite a few trees on my lot and they were in bad need of trimming. I used a pruning saw to trim them then had know way to cut up the limbs I'd trimmed so they were small enough for DPW to chip them. For the price of renting a chipper for an hour I bought this chainsaw. I was (at first) a little skeptical because it is electric but this thing works really well. I wouldn't use it to cut limbs out of a tree because of the cord but it cuts anything already down like butter. One of the limbs I had to cut up was about 8 1/2" - no problem. I also like it being electric because I need a chainsaw about once a year. I don't have to worry about gas sitting over the winter or even if I have any... just plug it in and go.

Great saw for the average home owner.
Great little saw for your basic home projects. I bought this to cut some 4x4 posts down a few inches. Cut right through without a problem. Chain was tight out of the box. Make sure you buy the right oil! You must use Motor oil, not chain oil. Used it for 9 4x4 posts, couple of tree trimmings and haven't had any problems. Great saw for basic use and the price is right.

Tough Chain Saw
Sometimes you can get more than you paid for. (This is my second purchase of the identical chainsaw). This chain saw is designed to cut through branches about 3" thick. Through several years, with the original saw I bought I cut down six trees with trunks of about 12" to 18" inches thick, then cut the wood into logs for the fireplace. I also used it to trim trees, and to cut up a patio deck and picnic table. The saw finally failed as I was finishing the largest and last tree I needed to cut down, probably because I failed to sharpen the chain while trying to cut through an 18" inch trunk. Not bad for a chain saw that I paid less than $70 at the time.

A great light-weight saw..
This is a great light-weight saw and it has done a good job in keeping our trees pruned. It is a replacement for an older Remington electric that I used for years and have worn out with pretty heavy use. The nice thing about the saw is that it is slight enough to use for a couple hours without exhausting the operator. It is also strong enough to fell sizable trees that would normally call for a gas-powered saw. The oiler works well and does a good job of keeping the chain lubricated.

Excellent chainsaw. Exceeds expectations. Easy starting! : )
My previous experience with electric chainsaws was not good. As in motor could barely power through anything larger than 4" without bogging down. I haven't gone crazy with this, but it handles 14" diameter trees with no problem with the full diameter being cut at once (don't have to "see-saw" the bar to make the cut). I bought it so my other half doesn't have to use the gas powered saw when I'm gone (trouble starting it). So far, so good.

Powerful and fun to use.
Very happy with this electric chain saw. I used on 4"-6" diameter limbs and 18" - 20" diameter tree trunks. Cuts 'em like a hot knife through butter. These are cherry, black walnut, red-bud, pine, and maple trees. I am very happy with this chainsaw.

So far so good. Next
I initially bought this in order to do some mild gardening work, as well as cut down a few small trees and small stumps. I knew that it being an electrical chainsaw, I shouldn't expect alot of power, and would have to be patient while cutting. On first use, I used it to trim up some bushes as well as cut off a few limbs from trees. So far so good. Next, I tried to cut down some very small trees (only about 2-4 inches in diameter), and every time the chain popped and I had to reset it. What should have been a task of 30 sec took awhile longer because the chain kept coming off. Its really annoying to reset it, because the tightening mechanism is essentially just a metal screw, and after readjusting it several times the nut around the screw started to pop through the plastic housing, which didn't allow it to tighten properly. Seriously? All this struggle just to cut a small tree? I had repeated results when I was trying to cut the roots off a bush that I dug out of the ground as well. So, suffice to say, I cannot recommend this product in any way.

failed on 2 fronts in less than 10 hours light use
We used this chainsaw maybe 10 times in 2020 for small brush around the yard and it functioned well in this limited role. After a winter of indoor storage, the butterfly chain adjustment bolt casing ( plastic) split in 2 places-thus I could no longer adjust chAin tension. A critical function now unserviceable. The very next time I used the saw, the motor would spin freewheeling but would not engage the chain. The saw is now totally useless. We are going to investigate a warranty claim with Remington. Needless to say, this product failed on 2 fronts in less than 10 hours light use. NOT RECOMMENDED...

good for the money
It was lightweight and easy to use with surprising power. Of course dragging around an extension cord is a pain.

Pas fiable
La tronçonneuse est légère et facile à utiliser. Malheureusement, une pièce du mécanisme de plastique à brisé après quelques heures d’utilisation. J’ai acheté une pièce remplacement à 22$. Maintenant, l’appareil fonctionne bien.
