Great product I carry on a daily basis!
Family purchases these on a regular basis. We hike and spend time in the hills as well as walk our dogs in a town with a lot of stray dogs. On more than one occasion we have had to use these against stray dogs attacking us or our pets. While it pains us to do so (we are huge dog lovers) when you are protecting your family you want a reliable product that is easy to use. This product is that! In both cases when the dog was sprayed it immediately turned around and high tailed it in another direction. No dog has continued attacking once sprayed. It is non-lethal which is great and the sprayed party will recover just fine which gives us piece of mind about any animal we have to spray. We also carry in the hills in case we come across wild animals. We have yet to use them out there but continue to carry in case. I also have this in the large bear spray size and have been pleased with all UDAP products in the past. Note: When spraying anything there will be spray back on you. Its a risk, but a worthwhile one for protection. Be cautious of the wind and try not to rub your eyes even if you get spray in them. Odds are you have more on your hands and will only make it worse on your face. Stay outside and let the air cool your face and let it wear off naturally. Do not get in the shower immediately because if you have any on your upper body you will just be moving it around to other areas. Wash your hands for a bit and when the stinging calms down wash your face with dish detergent and water.

Great to have it in your wrist. Works extremely well.
Excellent. Great to have on your wrist. I used it for the first time on an off leash dog that was approaching. Sprayed the dog at 5 feet, and it stopped immediately. The off leash dog owner threatened to kill me, so it was nice to have more spray available in the canister to deal with the owner. Unfortunately, this is a must have for runners.

Peace of mind for mom...
Bought this for my college-aged daughter after doing a lot of research on the pros and cons of different types of pepper spray. This is compact but big enough to dispense more than once if needed; it fits in her purse easily for whenever she's traveling out-of-town, be it visiting friends or a spring break trip. And I liked that it's a fog and not a spray, which means it doesn't have to have exact directionality (a plus if faced with an actual altercation, which would likely be chaotic). I thought the strap would be handy, too--she's a runner and can keep it on her hand while on her route! This was the only one I found that met all the criteria I was looking for, and at a reasonable price, too. I'm plan to get one for myself now!

Good for runners
I am a female and run at night and through neighborhoods, so I wanted to purchase some pepper spray for safety. I was initially concerned about the elastic holster with strap being too loose around the canister, but it is very snug. I also sweat a lot, but the elastic fabric band seems to wick the sweat away quite well. It is very comfortable for a 5 mile run. I tested the sprayer as well. The spray was clean, and shot quite far. I think the claim is 12ft. which seems about right. I hope I don't have to use it, but will feel confident with this product if I do.

It is hot enough!!!
Pro's: It sprays far, it's really hot. I just took it outside and sprayed it, just to test it out. It goes more than 10 feet. it also has a reddish tint to it, I can really see where the mist is going, make sure your assailant is downwind of this. The stream is pretty tight when it comes out, about dime sized to quarter-sized at 2-4 feet, then it really starts to spread out to about a foot in diameter at ten feet, but it still keeps traveling after 10 feet, i'd give it about 15-17 feet of travel until it hits the ground. Important: A drop about the size of a tiny BB got on my finger. I decided to just rub it off with my thumb. Accidentally, (with my peppery thumb) I rubbed the sweat off my freshly shaved upper lip. INFERNO! I'd say it feels like i rubbed a hot Jalapeno (the kind with a little red in them) all over my upper face! I consider myself pretty tolerant to spicy food, This thing is getting hotter as I type, now it kind of feels like a habenero pepper was rubbed on my face. I'm not kidding! It was just a tiny insignificant amount of pepper that landed on my finger. It was mostly just a dry puff. I feel sorry for the Dog that gets a face full of this on my next run. Con's: does not go good with salsa & guacamole.

Jogger fogger with holster by UDAP
Another one of those products that is hard to review because the main function was never performed, so I will review this from fit and finish point of view. I bought this for my wife becasue I love, and I wish she would stop running by herself when sun sets. The band is elastic and its very comfortable in her hand. I like it because it fits stable in her hand and everything can be operated with a thumb once its strapped in. I hope she never has reason to use this and in the meantime there is nothing wrong to write about this product.

It appears to be good quality, but might be too big for my Wife's purse......
It is larger than what I expected - I wanted it to fit in my Wife's purse. I also wanted her to be able to conceal it - if needed. Hope she never has to use it, but if she does, I am happy with purchase - especially with the fog function.

Recommended with some reservations.
Works as advertised. Used it for the first time on a 50 lb. pit bull mix that was in full charge. Slight cross wind was present (maybe 4 to 5mph) which cut the range down to 3 feet. Very unimpressive discharge but very effective when the dog got it in his lungs. He backed off almost instantly, then a few seconds later he seemed to be in distress and withdrew further. I had the product in it's case and in my hand ready to go. From the time I heard the dog charging to the time the spray was deployed was just over a second. It happened that fast. If the product had been in a pocket I would not have been able to get it out. If this had been a stream instead of a fog I don't think I could have hit the target in the face. I lost a lot of the fine motor control of my hands when the fear/startle response hit. But I had been practicing deploying it for a few years. When the panic hit I defaulted to training. The fog has a real advantage over a stream when there is no wind. If the wind had been much worse it would have been a real issue. I carry a backup weapon for windy days. So while it's an unimpressive fogger (volume wise) it makes up for that because it can be instantly deployed. Recommended if you understand the limitations of the product.
