are the blades dish washer proof, and are they metal

No they are not in the fullest of time. The blades are stainless steel but very sadly the shafts to the blades are not stainless steel, but chrome plated, so the steel rusts blistering the chrome plating looking a right mess. Spoiling the ship for 1\2 penny of tar springs to mind. Apart from that a good mixer for the price. My next mixer will have all stainless steel blades, how to find it is another matter.

Does this mixer has the fold function? If yes, how to operate as I don’t see any fold button on the mixer?

I wouldn’t consider this hand mixer to have a Fold function . It is basically for ‘whipping’ ingredients . You should fold by hand after initial beating of some ingredients .

I have an Aicock hand whisk/mixer. I have had it for about 4 years, barely used - too fast in 1st. setting. Any recommendations?

This one would be perfect (I think) I had one for more than 25years! It never let me down. I just wanted a new one as my old one had faded. My daughter now has my old one and loves it. One tip try reducing the quantity in your bowl initially if this one proves a little fast.
