We were in a pinch since it happened so close to the opening of the hunt and we had about a week to get it fixed. First of all, I buy all the time from amazon, but this particular item shipped out SO FAST. We received it I think a day before schedule. It wasn't very complicated to remove the old pump and replace it with the new. Once it was in it worked FAR better then the old one, even when the old one had actually worked correctly. My husband had read the reviews and doubted this one would be that much quieter. It was/is. Even he is impressed. As soon as I opened it I could tell this was a used/returned pump. There is black tape residue on the wiring and a sticker on the front of the pump has been partially removed indicating to me that the previous owner had been trying to adjust the pump cycling. I'm going to try the pump anyway but I expect a cost reduction or a immediate replacement with a pump that is new, unused, not returned.5-9-2016, just received a replacement pump. It was new in the box which stated "new & improved". I installed the pump and it is the quietest, smoothest running pump ever. I have owned several RV's and this is without a doubt the quietest. Slightly more pressure than the original which served us since 2004. I would recommend this pump and thank you Amazon for standing behind me and getting the replacement. Les ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough flow or pressure for the noise it creates. *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2017* Received the new pump and had high hopes for a quiet and forceful pump. But it was not to be. I used this pump to replace the OEM Shurflo Extreme pump that came with my 2006 DRV Elite Suites. The OEM pump was rated at 5.7GPH and at 60PSI. It could handle every spigot in the RV being on and still have super flow. The RV was designed with a manifold in the bay with a separate 1/2" PEX supply line to each outlet for both hot and cold. You could shower with the washer on and never know. This pump just doesn't have the power or the flow to feed everything. The old pump was silent. You could never hear it under any load. The new pump has the good old RV water hammer and it's connected to the same lines as the OEM.
