This two-pack will work best if all your lumber is the same length.
I have a detached garage with unfinished interior walls (that is, exposed studs and fireblocks), and the floor on one side has long been crowded with various boards of all dimensions. So this rack looked like a good way to get the lumber off the floor and to get it somewhat sorted as well. I installed both units of this two-pack, but was stuck while I deliberated on the spacing, because only some of my stored lumber is 8' long; much is 6' or even 3' in length. Once I was convinced that the system was workable, I ordered a second set and spaced them at intervals of 16" / 16" / 32". This allowed me to support 8' boards as well as both 24" and 60" boards, with every board having at least two supports. (Notably, other vendors sell wall racks like these in sets of 4, not sets of 2.)Other reviewers have noted that the lag screws are too short. They could be longer, no doubt, and if you are mounting into studs behind drywall, the included lag screws won't work, because they extend only about 1.2" beyond the square tube of the rack itself. My unit, however, goes flush against 2x4 studs, and the bite of the lag screws seems adequate. Vertical clearance between the three arms isn't huge, but I'm fairly pleased with the amount of lumber I was able to move well off the floor (you can see I mounted the rack fairly high on the garage wall) while still leaving other storage options below and behind this rack.

Total Organization
These brackets were easy to hang and very sturdy. They make a perfect addition to my newly organized garage. I am using them to store extra lumber, however they could have many uses. They also fold up against the wall when not is use.

Just what I needed
I'm not one to leave a review normally. However this lumber rack worked perfect for what I needed it for. I would recommend this product. I may buy another one in the future.

Lumber storage
What can I say? This rack is wonderful for wood storage in my little garage. I am a 70 year old woman with no upper body strength. I was concerned that I could lift the rack for installation. I was happily surprised that it was to be installed in sections. I had absolutely no trouble putting it up. Now my wood is off the floor and out of the way. Buy it - you won’t be disappointed!

GREAT product!
I have bought several of these items for different design projects I have worked on. Last year, I used a combo of the 3 and 6 layers to get guitars, violins, and microphone stands up out of the way in a music room. My client LOVED how it looked. I have also used it in craft rooms for bolts of fabric and wrapping paper. The one I just got for myself I actually used for lumber.

Well made
I went with these because I liked the 15" "shelves." I bought 4 sets. One set only had 3 of the M6 screws instead of 6. I have seen that issue in other comments. Stormann really should fix that. Re: the plastic spacers not staying in place when putting on the shelves; I splayed out each of the tabs a little over half the thickness with a pair of channel lock pliers and a vice before putting them on and had no issues. When you tighten the nut on the screw the tabs move back in easily.

Spacers don’t work
Spacers are a hassle .. just make the shelves tighter or the posts thicker so you don’t need them. I gave up messing with them. They didn’t stay in place to get the bolt through all three holes .. then times that by 12.

Good Enough For The Garage
* The M8 x 60mm (2.36") lag bolts really are not long enough considering the mounting posts are 1-1/8" Ø which leaves 1-1/4" of lag bolt into a stud if no drywall. With 1/2" drywall, these are totally inadequate. I used 4" lag bolts for the top holes and 3-1/2" lag bolts for the middle and bottom holes.* Agree with prior reviews that it is impossible to use both stick-on plastic washers when installing the rack tubes.* My only other issue is that the drawing suggests that the rack tube lengths are 15.94" when in reality, the usable portion is only 14-5/8" which was a disappointment.
