Bought this Baby Alive for our granddaughter who is in the midst of being potty trained. She loves her doll. The feature of going potty is helping her to understand what happens when we eat and then have to go to the bathroom to go potty. We use her potty to assist in understanding how it all works. Drawback is that the doll is difficult to feed unless she's laying down. The food is essentially the same as Play Do. It will get stuck in the back of the throat if the pieces are too large.

My 7 year old granddaughter loved this doll , and has been taking into the swimming pool , bathtub and everywhere we go . The “ food “ however needs some tweaking as it isn’t easy to clean and it sometimes gets stuck , we’ve tried multiple different sizes . But she’s enjoying it , well made and the hair was really pretty —

This is a super cute doll. It comes with play dough that you make into pieces of food and you can feed her with the spoon/fork. Afterwards you just empty out her built in diaper and then feed her over and over. No need to keep buying diapers because you don't need them. You also can reuse the food over and over. So it's nice that you don't have to buy refils. She is also a pool /bath toy. Made with drainage holes to prevent mold. It is a very durable doll and it has a pretty low price tag. My granddaughter is 3 1/2 yrs old and she loves this doll.

Let me start by saying that you shouldn't get upset about something not meeting your expectations if you aren't even going to bother to read the instructions or figure out which packaging you're purchasing. Many have complained that the doll came in a plain cardboard box. Yes, that is what Amazon refers to as "frustration-free" packaging. You don't have to cut any zip ties, twist ties, rubber/plastic bands to get the doll out of the package. Amazon also offers the option for "standard" packaging, which is probably what you'll want if you're gifting this doll. Also, for those complaining about having the dough stuck in her body, you need only make sure that your child doesn't play with her in water while using the food. Otherwise, as long as you show them what size pieces to feed her, there shouldn't really be a problem (your kid not listening to you isn't a reason to give a poor review). My 2 year old got a baby alive doll that drinks water and pees for her 2nd birthday, and my 4 year old wanted one too. She's also obsessed with things pooping. So naturally, we got her this doll for her 5th birthday. She loves playing with her and feeding her. She takes her into the bathtub, into bed, she loves this thing. We've had no problem with the dough. One time she crammed a large piece of dough into her mouth, but it only took a minute to get out, thanks to the back flap. Overall a great buy.
