Honestly, this is great for hot lunch. I work and my lunch is at 11:20. In the morning, I boil hot water extra hot and heat up my lunch around 7:30ish. I then put my lunch in and put the lid on tight. It never has leaked. My lunch is hot but hot that you would burn your mouth. Yes it's pricey but worth it. I have taken leftovers for lunch such as chicken with rice and beans and I even took ramen, there wasn't much juice for the ramen but it was still good.

I use this container to take ice from home to my classroom since there’s not an ice machine for teachers. It keeps my ice ready to have a fresh drink in the afternoons at school.

Hard to open
If you have smaller hands like mine and you’re older, this might not work for you. It closes so well that it’s difficult to open. I had to return, sadly.

Beautiful but reports of scraped off paint
so many reports of the coating scraping off that I returned. But it is beautiful. also many reports it doesn’t keep your soup warm.

Difficult to open and close the lid
The product looks really nice, but it is difficult to close the lid. I had to press one side to close it tight, and it does not seem to align with the box very well. Returned to Amazon.

Disappointed that the cover (steam release part) broke almost a year and a half later. It doesn’t keep warm anymore.

After 2 washings in my dishwasher, the box it's completely ruined. For that price, I am now using it just at home to store food. Not recommended if you are having a dishwasher machine.
