Forget Velcro! I'm totally hooked on this stuff!
My first experience with this product was with my guitar pedal board. My Gator board shipped with a small roll of it. I'd never used it before but I was incredibly impressed by the strength of the lock. Seriously, this is impressive stuff. It makes Velcro industrial strength look like total garbage. Yes, this stuff is very expensive but it works and is absolutely worth the premium. No more hooks and loops anymore, this product mates with itself and doesn't have the destructive "tear" when separating. The pieces interlock and grip like nobody's business. Package says good for 1000 separations (that's a lot) and I believe it. A couple of tips: 1. Although the backing adhesive is excellent, make sure you clean the mounting surfaces well with alcohol to remove any trace of grease. Remember this stuff is strong, so you need a good adhesive bond that will withstand the force of separation. 2. Try not to upset the roll when it arrives. Don't unravel it. I pull it out from the center. The reason is if the film that protects the mounting adhesive gets separated you may be compromising the sticking properties. That would make it wear out faster. 3. Plan carefully exactly how much you need. This stuff is expensive but works so well you may need less than you think! You can also cut it lengthwise for thinner strips. This has worked well for me. 4. Note: the adhesive is white which will stand out if placing on glass like a windshield. 5 stars. Another fabulous 3M invention!

Heavy duty!
This stuff I great! It's strong with a great hold! Easy to use and can be used for anything! I purchase this for my husband and he uses it on his pedal board and it works great for that!

Very strong connection
I once bought a dashcam that came with a small piece of this and I liked it so much that I bought some to have. If you're willing to spend the money, 3M has some fantastic fasteners and adhesives, and this one is no exception. I've also used it in my amateur radio "go box" to mount the antenna tuner to the rack shelf and I don't have to worry about it coming undone. The roll comes with both sides of the fastener, and both have double stick tape. Simply cut it to length, pull off the tape backing, and put it where you need it. The tape will take care of the rest.

Works well, but use with caution.
Works well, but use with caution. Great stuff for the right applications. This material gives a very strong closure. You can feel and hear it snap together as you apply pressure to close it. It seems to me that using too much of it, that is, pieces that are too long and therefore too sticky, could result in a closure that could not be opened without pulling off the adhesive, possibly causing damage to the underlying surfaces, rather than opening the fastener. I used it to remount some sections of the headliner in my boat. Seems to stand up well to difficult environmental conditions well. It had been used in the original installation of the headliner, but the adhesive had failed in some places after many years of hanging overhead in damp conditions and a lot of motion. I followed the practice of the original installer, cutting it into small pieces, about 1" square. Have used it for a few other hanging and closure jobs as well. Again, be sure that the underlying surfaces are sound enough to withstand the strong pull required to open the fastener once in place. The surface and the 'hooks and loops. do not deteriorate quickly as Velcro does and the closure is very tight.

This is not a mated strip!
This is amazing stuff that I use to mount flexible solar panels to camper van roofs. It is expensive and its worth it. However this listing clearly says 10ft mated strip. What I received was a single 10ft non-mated strip. Not sure if this is a mixup or what but I am feeling disappointed.

Dual lock is the Best there is no equal!
Velcro has met its match and here it is. Water proof, weather proof, unbelievably strong adhesive and super strong locking surfaces dual lock raises the bar for removable fasteners. 3M is the best, there is noting even close. If you don't know what dual lock is think of the strips they give you with your ez-pass for mounting on the window. The adhesive is great but here are a few tips. Clean the surfaces thoroughly. I suggest some rubbing alcohol clean both surfaces and let it dry. This is common sense but many people forget to do this. Make sure the surfaces are flat. if its textured you can use a little sandpaper. be sure its not a visible area. Use a lighter and heat up the adhesive just slightly. Do not scorch the the adhesive, just a few quick passes makes it slightly more pliable and much more sticky. This is especially important if it is near freezing. On a surface where you are having particular difficulty getting any type of adhesive to adhere, a small dot of crazy glue in the center will do the trick. Just make sure its on a surface you wouldn't mind leaving a mark if you had to pull it off.

Very strong velcro alternative - great for guitar pedals
Using it to secure my bass pedals to my custom made pedal board and it works great. When fastened, it does add a bit of height to your pedal, so if you have a pedal with low feet, you can likely get away with using the low profile fasterere (3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener TB4575 Low Profile Black, 1 in x 10 ft (1 Mated Strip/Bag)) I use both the low profile and the normal profile because I don't want to remove the rubber feet from the pedal and decrease the resale value. I put two strips on the underside of the pedal - at the top and the bottom - to prevent it from rocking, and the pedal stays perfectly secure. You don't need more than that (i.e., don't completely cover the underside of the pedal) else you risk never getting the pedal off the board! This stuff is strong and latches securely, and so far the glue has held up well too. And, the higher profile tape is stronger than the low-profile, so you can get away with even less if using the high profile. My advise is to use this stuff when you have a definitive pedal board arrangement and don't plan on changing around that much. Because once you set the pedal in place, the strong grip wants to stay gripped.

Expensive but very good quality
I used this TB3550 fastener tape to attach guitar effect pedals to my Donner pedal board. Works well so far. We'll see how long the adhesive remains on some of the pedals with rubber bottoms. I used a hair dryer with a narrow nozzle to heat the adhesive side of the tape before applying it to the pedal or pedal board. Once a pedal is attached, it takes 12 or 15 pounds of force to remove it. One must pull the pedal up from one side, peeling it gradually up and to the left, for example. One cannot pull it straight up. The pedals are attached so securely that I can turn the pedal board upside down and shake it and the pedals remain attached. UPDATE: This tape did not stick well to my Donner pedals that had a rubber-covered metal bottom plate. However, the rubber can be peeled off the bottom plate to expose the metal.

This stuff rocks. Perfect for pedal boards.
This new Velcro has just the right amount of stick. You can put it down and its rock solid but you can still take it up if you change your mind and want to change things around. GREAT PRODUCT!

Super strong
When you need super duper strong Velcro, this is it. I had to use super glue on the back of tape. To stick the tape to lower dash, some kind of cleaner on it. I have a trailer brake controller, that I put on to use then remove when not using trailer. The two locking sides stick together really good, no problem holding the controller on.
