DSLRKIT Carbon Fiber Remote Key Shell for Volvo 2016 XC90 T5 T6 T8

It is definitely much cheaper than some other products out there and does look decent. I was able to retrofit the Volvo decal from the original keyfob cover plates and it does look way better than the worn out leather-wrapped originals (Volvo really made a major blunder in the quality department with that decision...). However these cover plates don't lock in place like they should and are constantly falling off, especially the back plate where the battery resides. Might have to "redneck" it with some double-sided adhesive once I install a new battery. Overall I'm disappointed.

Not a 100% fit as it seems a tiny bit loose when pushing either side of the casing, but it's a pretty good alternative to the $150-$200 shells sold by volvo dealers.

Inexpensive way to add some flair to my Polestar 2 key, which is essentially the same as Volvo keys except the buttons are some metal looking material. It wouldn’t go on as is however, I needed to take my dremel and trim off about a millimeter or two from the part where the latch that holds the cover in place contacts. Without trimming it, the latch will not be able to spring back into the closed position. I included pics including pointing out where the trimming needs to happen to make it work. Enjoy!

The media could not be loaded.  The shell doesn't fit in place, one side will click on, but isn't retained in place like the original and can slide down and off.The second side doesn't even click intoplace and fa)Les off straight away.Item isn't manufactured well and doesn't correspond to the original shell.The carbon fibre is also not carbon fibre, but an imprint in the cheap plastic shell.Would not recommend to potential buyers

Looks good, and installs good. But when compared to the original key cover, it feels cheap. But it's much less expensive when compared to OEM Volvo accessories key covers.

Considering an OEM replacement is $150-$200, this is a great value. It rattles a little bit, and the carbon fiber isn’t real (it’s etched into the plastic), but that’s ok. Still a 5 star buy. I bought 2, so my savings over OEM can buy my Volvo a nice detailing, 8 tanks of gas, or a set of roof rails. Save your money, you work too hard for it.

Great fit and great price , at first I thought the fitment was horrible but then I just installed it on different sides and it fit perfect

The shell does not fit on the 2016 XC90 fob as described. It was loose, never clicked in place, and fell off at even the thought of a breeze. Don't waste your money.

Does the job and looks tidy but is awkward to fit correctly . It has to be a tight fit and sometimes wants to slide off.

Doesn't fit my XC90 key fob. One side clicks in place but the other side just falls off all the time. Seller sent a replacement but that was no better. Also tried on a friend's key and it made no difference. Seller complained to manufacturer. Outcome as yet unknown.

Works fine, no instructions so got it off YouTube. Could have done with the Volvo logo on it but cheaper than other branded ones.
