Beautiful striped solid cedar wooden box with removable lift-off lid is lovingly handmade, completely handcrafted from scratch the old fashioned way. Fashioned from magnificent reclaimed Western Red Cedar. This solid cedar box is made from 44 individually cut Western Red Cedar slats assembled with precision and loving care. This cedar wood is all hand milled in our shop, hand cut from large pieces down to these small exact sizes, both in thickness and length. The beautiful striped pattern is a result of the transition from heartwood to sapwood within the cedar tree. Solid cedar throughout; includes all sides, top and bottom. Crowned with a hand sculpted Douglas Fir wood handle. Overlapping grain directions reinforce the structural integrity, as well as offer a beautiful adornment to the edges. All slats are quarter-sawn to insure natural material stability. The interior bottom is lined with cushioned liner.
