The Singing Trees: A Novel

I've read several of Boo Walker's books, and can say without reserve that this is the best one yet. His novel, An Unfinished Story, is a close second. It was wonderful to be able to slip into the recesses of young Annalisa's soul as she faced the many traumas of her teenage years. It was even better to watch her face obstacles as her life progressed. The reader is given insights into her artist's passion for painting and her determination to succeed at whatever cost, even to losing the the love of her life because of fear and a grave misunderstanding. The novel is full of colorful examples of an Italian family's love of life, food, and family. But the heart of this story is the unlimited power of unselfish love and forgiveness

I couldn't put it down.I like the author's writing style and storytelling. This is the 4th book I've read of his.

I obviously loved this book. This man can write. I could not put it down, but had to t times as life has it's way of interfering. Nevertheless, I was always happy getting back into his story. Believable life experiences of a talented woman . It amazed me that a male author could write of home women think and was able to portray how many women's minds reason problems out. Great read. So glad I read this.

The book was in excellent condition and came on a timely basis. It is slow starting but became a warm, charming story with likeable people. Book club members loved it.

The singing trees novel started out with Hope and what seemed like a nice story. But I just could not get past the narrators voice, breathy, and airy, with no foundation at all. Sorry! Scanned through it quickly to get my book completed on Kindle.

One of the best books I ever read. Exceptional story and characters. Really enjoyed the book. Highly recommend reading it.

Entertaining read that is easy to follow and pick back up after putting it down. Loved the love of family and friends depicted in this book.

This warm and loving story touched my heart as no other has in recent times. The love story made me hopeful for our future in this complex and scary world. Keep pumping them out, Boo Walker; I'll keep reading your beautiful stories.

I am an avid reader, I probably devour 3 or 4 books a week. I love words and the power they hold, and I love discovering an author who makes me fall in love with words all over again!That’s what happened with this book. Words were crafted into an art in this book that took my breath with it’s beautiful story.The characters became dear to me and so relatable, lovable, frustrating and funny at different times.The story unfolded with a magical quality that provided me with an experience so moving and emotional at times. I truly laughed out loud, and at other times my vision blurred while tears streamed down my cheeks.I read daily and in such a volume that it’s a delightful surprise to have a book grab me like this one did. I already miss the characters just minutes after finishing the last page.Thank you for this touching and very special story. My heart itself was smiling as my eyes devoured the words!I eagerly look forward to more from this talented author who has me excited to look at the world and witness people loving people💗

A very emotional story with gentle twists and turns. A story of a girl' s patience , forbearance and confidence. A happy ending makes this novel more sweeter and lovable.

This book failed to attract my attention after forty pages. Tries to tick all the boxes: romantic impossible love story, political statements about the 1960s, "social class" critic.

What an amazing story! Couldn’t wait to read the next chapter and the quality of the writing was outstanding. This is the second Boo Walker novel I’ve read and will read every one I can lay my hands on!
