Stainless Steel Dressing Stick with Adjustable Design, Dressing Aids for Shoes, Socks, Shirts, and Pants, 17-26 Inch Length

As my arthritis worsens, anything that can make daily tasks a little easier is very welcome. This Stainless Steel Dressing Stick with Adjustable Design has done just that! I've only had it for two days but it has already paid for itself by making it so much easier to pull underwear, pants and socks on and off and reach shirts on hangers in the closet. The adjustable rod extends from a compact 17" up to a full 26" with just a twist. Need a midrange 21" reach? No problem - just loosen the black locking piece, extend or collapse the rod to the desired length for the task, then twist the locking piece to secure the rod at the chosen length! The device is very light weight but sturdy so I'm sure my new little "assistant" will be helping me for a long time to come.

This tool helps seniors, or those with physical difficulties get dressed,especially with over the head clothing such as tee shirts, sweaters and sweatshirts. These items tend to get stuck on our shoulders, and this tool helps us out of those quandaries.

I bought this since my original dressing stick is wood, and it wouldn't fit in my suitcase for a trip last year. This one can turn to decrease size, though when it's fully extended, the stick is loose and doesn't stay in a locked position. It works for helping me as a dressing aid, so it's fine.

I give my highest recommendation to this Dressing Stick! All physical therapists, occupational therapists or anyone related to rehabilitation should be providing these Dressing Sticks to their patients.As a sixty plus year wheelchair user I have never had a better Dressing Stick, or one that I so sturdy. I am extremely active and resorted to building my own sticks many years ago because I break them so often. However, this stick is built sturdy, and the price is right! I ordered two recently and will be ordering several more to keep on the shelf for future use.

Although it’s easy to carry, it doesn’t stay locked open very well.

I love this dressing stick BUT they DO NOT stay extended on their own and I need them to be extended. I used super glue on them to keep them extended.

Not fit for purpose. Look elsewhere, please. First use (pulling up the tongue of a shoe) the hook end pulled out of the tube. It was a press fit, only held in place by friction and a very small dab of some glue. I could epoxy it back in place, and add a sheet metal screw from the side to secure it, but why should I spend my time fixing something which was badly designed, and poorly executed. It goes back.
