Then I noticed that there is a small ball on the clasp side where you can pull the chain through it, one way or the other to adjust the size. I was going to return it thinking it was not adjustable, but I figured out that it wasn't the typical way to adjust it - it is just different from what I am used to. I kept it after all, now that I know how to adjust by sliding the chain through the small ball to adjust.
