I'm really surprised these aren't more popular. Yes, it won't take the place of a gym (or a home set of weights) but there's actually quite a bit you can do with this. Even if you just use it for two exercises (chest expanders and grip strengtheners) that's still a great value, given the fact that this is less than $20 (or less than $10 if you get it used). The grip exercise alone is easily worth that. This is a great piece of equipment to have around when you don't necessarily have the energy to do a full hour-long workout, but still want to do a little something besides cardio and stretching. I'll add that I've been a weightlifter pretty much all my life and especially when you first get it, the chest expander exercise is still very challenging--meaning this can be used by pretty much anybody, since it can be easily adjusted.

My husband uses this all the time in his exercise routine. It is very well crafted and works quite well. A handy aspect is that it is small enough for him to pack and take along with him when we travel.

I use chest expanders to supplement my workout. Recently, I had one of the "better" quality rubbery elastic bands snap and it struck me. It hurt, however it did not hit me in the eyes. I was lucky......no more rubbery expanders.This chest expander uses metal springs and metal fasteners to secure the springs onto the handles.....not the best quality, but for the price point, it's excellent. Great workout, with no worries about breakage and being struck. Time will tell how the springs wear after continued use. We'll see.But again, at this price point, for a SAFE chest expander, it is well worth it. I will buy definitely it again.

I was reserved about it, but after using it, I love it. Springs are strong. Hand grips are a bonus. Definitely worth the price.

It looks great and works for what I need it for. It's perfect for me. I am a 300 pound 6ft man with a lot of that weight being muscle and I gave it a number of good pulls. The quality seems good. I saw in the reviews someone had managed to break the handle. I can see that possibly happening long term or if you are using it for un-intended purposes, but if it happens, nothing a bit of duct tape wont fix. I have 0 complaints and I will update this if I ever do.

Going as Brand from Goonies and needed one of these. This is exactly what is needed, but has some added perks. Luckily Brand was only using one with 3 springs as I found this one difficult to do many reps with 4+ springs. Removing springs is not all that difficult, which make it nice that you can start low and add as you gain strength, even though I only bought this for the costume, I hope to use it for it's intended purpose as well. The finger grip addition also seemed like a bonus.

if you find your range, it provides a good work out. The secondary benefit of hand strength is ideal for those who want continued flex of the hands and grip strength. Now changing the springs is somewhat awkward but overall it serves its purpose and I am satisficed with the product.

It is easy to adjust the tension according to the required tensile strength of the user by adding or eliminating the number of parallel springs. That facilitates its use by the strong athlete down to a frail senior. I bought a similar device earlier but was disappointed, but this one is very useful.

Good just what I needed

I like it very much that I can take the spring off for my strength.To make it better, the product i used before has a safety string inside of each spring just in case the spring snaps which may not happen at all, but the safety is there.In general it's a good purchase, it's worth.

This exercise I used to use as a teenager. It helped in my sports, hitting the baseball with force.

Product works very well ,only issue I have with it is I wish they put a little padding on the handles because the hard plastic gets hard on the hands pretty quick
