A product that works as advertised.
I am happy with this product overall. It is obviously made of high quality materials and a well thought out product. It is obvious this isn't the first iteration. After some research, I read many people using this product for many years, although prior iterations. I liked that it had a positive history and good price. It also doesn't have the ricer/tuner look, so I felt it would be better quality overall.Upon receiving it, I was right. Everything is machined well to fit together properly and function properly. The ball seats nicely and the spring allows easy, smooth adjustment. I put it on my car and dialed in to boost pressure. Mainly, I wanted to reduce spool up time, and this device does help with that. Nothing crazy extreme, but noticeable.Worked great for me at the road coarse track last weekend with no boost creep or negative affects.I have hardly experimented with upping the boost, but it did work well when I went from 8psi to 12psi. I can't comment on holding that higher pressure at this point, but I am confident that it would work just fine. The adjustment nut is only about 2/3's tightened at this level, so I am sure the spring and ball will work as advertised. I have to get my fueling and other items right before I put more stress on the engine with higher boost.The only negatives are outlined on a similar review:1. inlet/outlet nipples are different tube sizes.2. To adjust more than 1/16" a turn, the vacuum tube must be removed.3. No mounting bosses to secure it. Using my tube lengths, I was able to find a way that keeps it in place fairly wellOverall, I would buy again and am happy to support 'the little guy' rather than the name-brand aftermarket tuner companies that offer cheap/sketchy products to the mass market that look nice but promote boost spikes and unsafe engine performance.

Makes for a great safety device when doing a turbo swap
Makes for a great safety device when doing a turbo swap. Went from a small OEM turbo pushing peak 7PSI to a larger aftermarket turbo and electronic tune meant for peak 20PSI. This made a great temporary stand in for a proper EBC. Very handy, as turbo swaps can be frustrating and time consuming, and this item (at least in my case) allows for a safe test drive immediately upon completion of the mechanical portion of the swap. When tightened all the way down, it allows for *almost* 20PSI, which was perfect for my application. Four stars because you have to make modifications to it if you want to go above 19PSI (per my experience, but >15PSI per instructions)

Great product and most reliable way to control boost that I have found - can also be used with an EBC to deliver more mid-range torque too, while maintaining super quick and stable baseline boost level. I must have fitted over a 100 of these in last 15 years

Almost a 5 start device
While it is better built than the competitors, its just a royal pain that one end has a different size fitting on it. Best boost controller
I've been modifying turbo dodges for about 20 years. Hands down this boost controller is the best, simpelist, and best priced available.Sure you may be able to round up all the basic pieces, but the Dawes device puts them all together, plus a few tricks you probably didn't even know about.Do yourself a favor and pick one up. You will not be sorry!Happy boosting and save a mini mopar!

Working good on my '98 VW TDI Jetta
Working good on my '98 VW TDI Jetta. No more boost spike, pressure hits 15 and settles at 14, instead of the N75 valves spike up to 18ish at times, and settle down at 12..I'm impressed, simple and easy. Works good. How the car should have come from the factory :)

Major improvement!
Very happy with the boost controller! Set it and forget about it. Most likely will buy another one when money allows. Have boost set at maximum 13lbs and settles at 12lbs steady. I have reduced turbo lag and more power.

Perfect boost control. Precise and Consistent.
Great manual boost control. I use it on a Nissan KA24DE with a Garrett GT2871R dual BB turbo with internal waste gate. It holds the boost level rock solid with no surging or spiking. I am very pleased with this purchase. You won't find a better MBC anywhere.
