Great for protecting kids from head boops!
These have surely saved our babies from a few head injuries. My kids love to dance and spin until they fall over and smack their heads. You can't tell these pads are even there unless you stop and actually look, they blend right in. They have stayed perfectly in place, despite the heat of the fireplace being used. I expect I may have to touch up the paint when I remove them some day, but I expected that from the start

So good!
Love these so much! If you get black, I think you can get away with not cutting and interlocking them, especially if you're keeping the area dimly lit like I am, as you can see in my pictures. I'm also not really sure what the other reviews were going on about them not being adhesive enough? In my opinion, they're EXTREMELY sticky. I actually put a bit of alcohol on a rag and wiped my walls down a bit before applying which helps them to adhere even better. Not sure how hard removing them will be once I decide to, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there! đ Lastly, one 30 pack won't cover much for you. To do my entire room, I'll probably need around $300 worth of these sucker's, but I'm going to do a little at a time!

Modern makeover, but I wish they were a little less transparent
I just finished installing these on (half) of the wall Iâm using them for.First of all: I was kind of disappointed, the delivery driver left them at the gate in a literal puddle, and it ended up soaking through the plastic packaging they came in and ruining four tiles. That has nothing to do with the actual product though, so I digress. These are not what I expected. Itâs foam. My fault for not reading the description fully, but theyâre still high quality. The other reviews are right: the adhesive is NO JOKE. It is stuck to my fingers and I canât get it off. Iâm surprised and very impressed with this adhesive! For this reason, I would say that this product is NOT a ârenter friendlyâ product. It will leave the foam residue on the walls, and itâs a pain to get off (but itâs doable, I gently scraped the foam / residue with an exacto blade and it came off. Time consuming and a pain? Yes. But it worked.)Cutting these pieces: good luck with scissors. Scissors are no match for the adhesive. After cutting one piece beautifully with scissors, the adhesive hunker up the scissors and wouldnât cut through any more pieces. What I ended up doing is (with the backing still on), flipping it over so the âtileâ is facing the ground, held the piece down tight with a contractorâs square and going over the place I wanted cut 4-5 times with a box cutter. Worked like a charm. The blades they send in the package are useless, I wouldnât even bother. My BIGGEST âAw Manâ moment: I didnât prime the wall underneath. I mudded over the cracks in the wood paneling wall (thinking I would be able to make it flat enough to paint), gave up on the whole mudding and sanding thing and then used these. With the light on, you can clearly see the darker parts of the wall (see the picture, ignore the construction mess). Since this is paintable material, I am going to go get some white paint and see what I can do to fix this (will update with pics later). For this reason only, Iâm taking one star away. Is it my fault and common sense that I should have primed the wall white? Yup. Would it be a problem if the material was a little thicker so you couldnât see through it? Most likely.Overall, while this wasnât what I expected it to be, Iâm very impressed with the adhesive, the modern look and the easy cutting (once you get the hang of it). For anyone looking for a little modernization on a budget, I would highly recommend!

This will ruin your surface
This stuff will absolutely ruin the surface you put it on. I was excited by the positive reviews that stated this looks like real tile so I bought it for my fireplace since we didn't want to place tile over the marble that is original to the home. I thought this would be a great temp fix to the green marble that doesn't really go with our decor. I put up a few panels and decided to sit with it overnight so we could also see it in the daytime. After only having been on the marble for less than 48 hours it has been a nightmare to get it off. The plastic overlay comes off but leaves the foam and all I can think about while we spend over an hour now to get this off is if some unknowing renter put this up in a rental how the damage it would cause would cost them/the landlord a fortune to repair. :luckily because it's marble I am able to use krud kutter and goo gone to help but it is still taking us so long to get this off. I can't imagine how it would come off a wall. You may as well hire a dry wall repait man now. I am furious and cannot imagine how much worse it would be if it had been up longer than we had it.-If you want to use this for arts and crafts on cardboard with kids etc, go for it-I would NOT put this anything you care about like walls, tile, etc. as they will be ruined.
