Absolute Deception [DVD]

Very interesting storyline. Although it was really difficult to take "Rebecca Scott" seriously at all. Emmanuelle Vaugier is an outstanding performer I just don't believe that role was for her. The entire film she had this kind of smile or smirk on her face. There were no signs of stress or pain or fatigue.Reporting and journalism is hard stressful work, yet every instance there's a constant smile/smirk even when she cried.Someone tried running her off the road in attempt of killing her an later that same day she's comfortably enjoying sleep, instead of being on High Alert, hair in a tight bun, running shoes next to bed, jeans already on and ready to go.The guy trying to run her off the road and all of a sudden she's an expert tactical driver?When an FBI agent tells you to go back an call the police, you don't ask why an then casually walk away. You also don't intentionally lose your line of sight to your assailant.You see more pain an fatigue and stress on Agent Nelson's expressions. Yet he still has a small sense of humor.

THERE WERE TWO GOOD REASONS TO WATCH THIS FILM. FIRST, IT STARS CUBA GOODING JR, WHO HAS ACTUALLY STOPPED ACTIVE WORK IN PICTURES TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN AND ENTREPRENEUR. WE HOPE HE WILL RETURN. SECOND, THIS IS A TERRIFIC FILM BEGINNING IN MANHATTAN AND GOING TO THE GOLD COAST OF AUSTRALIA. THE LOCATION SHOTS AREBREATHTAKING.CUBA STARS ⭐️ ALONG WITH THE EXCELLENT ACTRESS AND MODEL, EMANUELLE VAUGIER, AND THEY MAKE TWOWONDERFUL PROTAGONISTS. AS MS. VAUGIER’S HUSBAND IS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH A FEW YEARS BEFORE, IT COMES TO LIGHTTHAT HE IS WORKING WITH THE FBI, I.E. CUBA, AND IS KILLED AGAIN. THE CONFLICTING EVENTS CULMINATE IN A GREAT DENOUEMENT AND CONCLUSION INVOLVING PONZI SCHEMES AND A SUPER ACTION FINISH. GET OUT THE 🍿 AND 🍕& ENJOY!

It held my attention, which is not easy to do. But, where were they getting all the cars?

when you are hired for a movie, do not shave your eyebrows off. and don't smile through an entire movie, when it isn't a comedy, but an action film. the psychopath knows how to play a psychopath. he invites the fbi agent , to stay for lunch, which is very funny.

I just love Cuba Gooding Jr.!!! He is one of a kind & he sets this movie off with the very seductive gorgeous Emmanuelle Vougier!!! these to make a very nice team/combo. Do look for them to be in feature up & coming films. Nice storyline plot about a widower who thinks that her husband has been dead for sometime but only come to find that he just died a day before!!! wow look out really good movie & with no interruptions!!!!!!!!

I've watch Cuba and Ms.Vargas six time or more in a 2 month span..Never get bored..It's my go to movie for drama..😁

In this 2013 mystery crime drama [aka: Deception and released direct to DVD in USA], widowed investigative reporter Rebecca Scott [Emmanuelle Vaugier] is informed by an FBI agent John Nelson [Cuba Gooding] that her deceased husband has just been murdered, feeling betrayed she heads for Australia to investigate, but so does Nelson.The single disc opens to 5 trailers before going to main menu offering play, scene selection, audio [English 2.0 /5.1] and UK trailer. There are no subtitle or hard of hearing options. With too many basic flaws to overlook and the stupid decisions made, along with some dodgy special effects, it takes the edge off [lose a *]. Otherwise this is a decent enough detective story with a few good action scenes and some stunning scenery but lacks sparkle, leaving this as a reasonable **** 15 rating.

The second it opens it screams TV MOVIE. The storyline is quite interesting but as others have said the acting let it down and the special effects (what there are of them) are not very good at all. Glad I rented it but it certainly won't live up to anyones expectations. Suitable for Channel 5 on a weekday afternoon only

I really enjoyed this film so I don't know why its only getting one star from some people. Its a good action film and I like emmanuelle vaugier. I would recommend this film to anyone. The plot in the film is quite good.
